Do you have stamp sets that are rarely used but you cannot let them go?
I have Paper Dolls and Snowy Play that have not been touched in over a year, but for some reason I do not want to let go of them. Every once in a while I consider trading them, and then I talk myself out of it. Not sure why I would want to keep sets I do not touch.
I keep thinking I am gonna need those verses some day
I keep thinking that maybe someday my dd will like dolls... She is 7 and has no interest in the pink aisle. Bitty Baby gets attention once in a while, but not daily.
I have only sold two sets. I never used either one of them. One had belonged to my daughter when she stamped, and the other was a hostess appreciation set that was just not my style.
I only buy what I like, and never want to part with any! I still have the first set I bought in 1996, Button Bear. I still use him on occasion, too!

"Love Bakes" It retired several years ago. I think I bought it in 1997. I haven't touched it in years, but I still like it. And I have the Country Hutch that goes with it. I just can't bear to part with it, even though I could get more than I paid for it on e-bay.

Another "Love Bakes" hoarder, here! I also have the Country Hutch, and in addition, the Wood Stove (that might not be the name of it, but you probably remember it as such). I have only used the Love Bakes set for one project, recipe cards for a cookie recipe, but I can't stand the thought of parting with it. I saw it go on e-bay a couple of years ago for $297 and I was tempted, slightly, but the feeling passed! ;)
Hi!
I have so many sets that I purchased starting back in 1995 that there is no way to list them all. I keep them because I liked them when I bought them and that still hasn't changed. It's fun to have access to a wide variety of images.
Too many to list. I got a big donation box from SU last year for my Girl Scout troop and got some really neat retired sets. I got All Aboard, which is very popular. I have never used it, but don't think I could part with it. I am a collector of stamps that I sometimes actually stamp with. I'm OK with that.
Yeah, I have quite a few like that. It's so hard for me to part with any of them because you just never know when you're going to really need that set. One set in particular that I keep telling myself I really don't like is Kanji, along with the bamboo background. It's actually the first set I bought a few years ago at my first SU party. I have no idea why I bought it but I just can't get myself to get rid of it. I have used it lately on a couple of recipe swaps, but that's it.
I have a few that I am contemplating trading right now...lol. I keep talking myself out of it though. Time will tell, if I don't start using them, I will cut them loose.
stew pot pals, fruity phrases and fruit medley. love them all and can't part with them but each year SU comes up with so many new sets that my retired ones get set on a shelf!
All Aboard would have to be the one I can't get rid of. It is my first set I bought, and even though I am no longer working in the job that was the reason I got it (Engineer on the Walt Disney World Railroad), I can't get rid of it for sentimental reasons. lol. Besides, I still know some engineers on there, and some day I *MIGHT* send them a train card, right?
LOL!

I have so many old sets that I just can't part with! I just *know* that as soon as I sell it, I'm going to wish I had it! Just this week I had the PERFECT idea for the retired Victorian Lace background that I've often contemplated selling, but didn't. Boy, was I glad I still had it, because it was just right for the card I was making. Here's my card: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I bought Cattitude a year or so ago and have never used it. Thought I'd like it because I love cats, but I just haven't found the right occasion for it.

I can't part with Watercolor Garden II. I was SOOOOO upset when it retired. I actually did sell it to a friend of mine, and then the next time she asked if I wanted to borrow it, I had to admit that I had gone and bought another one in the meantime... LOL

Have a Ball, Summer Fun, ...I save them for scrapbooking purposes, and haven't had the use for them in a couple of years.
And Little Shapes. I never use it. Don't really need it anymore. But I just can't get rid of it!
Um I am thinking this would be most of my "collection"!
Not sure what my most unused set is but I do know that there are several sets that I love that I hardly ever pick up tho.

Mine would be Wolf, Roughing It, Have a Ball, Little Boys, Sketches, Snow Angels, and Snow Globe. There are probably more, but those are the ones I thought of first! Very interesting thread!
Lighthouse, Thankful Thoughts are two sets that I have had for a long time and rarely use but I won't get rid of either. Once or twice a year I go through my collection and trade or sell of a bunch that I haven't used and every time I do this I can't bear to put these in that pile even thought I haven't used them. Both have too much sentimental value
How about this??? LOL
I have so many sets.......and want to keep them all.......lol
I made a pile of ......don't really use sets....was going to sell them on here or ebay........then the pile started dwindling down and back on the shelves........how sad is that! LOL
Little Trucks and Cuddles & Tickles. I used Cuddles & Tickles to make my second son's birth announcements, so that has senitmental value attached to it. Little Trucks is just so darn cute. I used it for a scrapbook page and probably won't need it again, but I just can't seem to part with it.

I LOVE my stamp sets and pretty much every stamp I have in the house. If I ever do have a stamp or two that I really don't care for (one I can think of off the bat was an old tulip set that SU had before Terrific Tulips) I donate it to the thrift store. I can't possibly stamp with all the sets I have (as I would have to be stamping 24 hours a day) but I won't part with them either. I have enough ideas for the rest of my life so I don't think I will ever be bored with them! Some of the oldies but goodies that I have a special attachment to are: Definitely Decorative Ferns, Soft as a Feather, and Farm Fresh.
I can't part with my SU! set Sketches, it is just too beautiful to let go. Then there is Watercolor Garden II, The Shape of Things.... I could go on, but those are my top 3. lol
JoAnn your card is gorgeous! I can't imagine ever giving up any stamps that I have purchased. I loved them when I bought them and so far my tastes haven't changed.
