Do you ever rate anyone's card a 3?

I think the ratings should go - just my two cents
I don't have time to comment on all of the beautiful ideas I see here. If something really blows me away or inspires me in a new way (they all inspire me) then I leave a comment to tell them so.
I feel fortunate to have this outlet for many reasons

Some things just slip in under the wire.
It's just a matter of timing.
I found a bunch of cards in the back of the gallery that were stunning (honestly) and no one put a single thing on them. Then I looked at the date...April 15...tax day. Not a day to upload cards. Trust me!

It drives me crazy to see a card with no comments!

I have been so encouraged by the comments on my cards, and I hate the thought that some dear soul out there would post and be ignored.

You can usually find something to say to encourage someone!

I took a look at the card. Unfortunately, between my monitor and the lack of a way to make the glitter show up sparkly, it looks kind of dull (which I'm sure is not true in real life). Maybe others saw it that way on their monitors also. I had to translate it - so to speak - to the real colors and try to imagine the sparkliness to appreciate it.

I have been commenting a lot lately, and finding a lot of gems in 2003 in the back of the gallery.

Just how are the contests rated? I mean.... how IS the winner determined?

I always give a 10 ........sometimes it means it is absolutely beautiful......sometimes I just like it alot........but someone has put an awful lot of work into it and I appreciate it. Sometimes......shhhhh....I do it to encourage someone. So really the 10 is not a true rating it is just a compliment and encouragement.

I also appreciate all the work someone goes to to just post a card. Even with a scanner it takes time. ......especially if you take the time to fill out all the info. I try to because I know how I appreciate it when others do the same.

I do kinda wish they would take the rating sytem off .

You know, there are monthly contests, but I never see where anyone wins. Is there a link somewhere listing the winners of each month?

If you go to the contests page, on the right hand side, it lists the winner of
each contest. They are a little behind right now.
