Seeing all the awesome stuff created on this site, I bet one or more creative out-of-the-box folks could even come up with a martini glass using some of the existing sets.
How about it, ladies? Anyone up for the challenge?
TIA,
A great admirer

I believe JulieHRR has something in her gallery. I think she used the triangle from the retired shapes set. If it isn't JulieHRR then it is Happy Heart. It may not be a martini glass, but a margarita glass. Can't remember.
I do think there may be something with drink glasses in the next catalog! One can only hope! Or, at least, I can only hope! If you are a demo, you can preview the hostess sets from the next catalog on the SU! website. This is what I'm basing my prediction on, nothing more...no "inside" info! :?

I agree that a martini / wine set would be a great addition to the next catalog!!! Come on, how many of you go out with the girls and order Cosmos or some other pink/fruity drink in a pretty glass?!!! There is more to the "girl thing" than shopping and shoes!
As for "Knit Happens" -- it's amazing that people are 'offended' by it. Pulleeeze, we're talking about a sweater!!! Isn't it supposed to be FUNNY?!!!
there is a new hostess set for the next catalog that has two wine glasses tipped toward each other with the word "clink" above it. I didn't care for it myself because it is so exaggerated---the stems on the glasses are super long.

I personally would love to see some more "grown up" stuff! I have several martini glass stamps and love them... gotta go to www.thecatspajamas.com ! They have such cute stuff.
In this world if we don't like what we hear we can change the station if we don't like what we see we can change the channel and if some people are offended by a stamp set then you have the choice weather you want to buy it or not.
Personally I would love to see a casino set, martini glasses, and some adult only stamps if you catch my drift... (LOL)
I would love to make bridal shower invitations, maybe use the martini glasses to say cheers to you or what ever funny thing we ladies of course will come up with.
I think the different varieties would definitly be a plus+++
As a matter of fact I'm going to ask SU if they would consider that idea
"let me get a high five for those of you who are with me!"
I agree! I too would love a cocktail/wine set. However, I have been having fun with the $1 Martini stamp from Michaels. The price is great and it is so versital. You can make cards for both male & female. If you want to see what the $1 stamp looks like just type martini in the search box when you go into the gallery.
I completely agree!!! If people don't like the idea of having a casino set, wine bottles, etc then they don't have to buy them. However, it would be great for those of us that would like to purchase those sets.
Based on the number of "offended" people that don't like the new Level 3 hostess set with "knit happens"--I would say NO!
Oh, man! I never even thougth ppl might be offended by that. But now I see what you mean. And here I've been trying to figure out how to sell $1,000 from March to May so I can get that set for free (I'm a hobby demo). If anyone earns that set and doesn't want it, please email me and I will buy it off of you!
For the gal who said she did not understand why anyone would be offended by "Knit Happens"......well I'm pretty sure some are offended because it is a take off of the saying "**** happens". So now please don't be offended by my explanation!!!!!!!! I agree with the other post who said if you don't like it don't buy it!!!!
Also I would be very, very surprised if SU had a cocktail or gambling/card set for the same reason that another person posted. The morman faith as I understand it, frowns on these activities and I just don' t see them promoting them in a stamp set. Now I could be very wrong on this and perhaps if they thought it would be a big seller ....who knows!
Wow! If people are offended by the Knit Happens stamp, what must they think of the bra on a hanger that says "thanks for your support" from the same hostess set? Sheesh!! I thought they were too cute to be offensive, but what do I know??
Mormons don't use crosses in their churches--and there have been plenty of SU! sets with crosses. I think SU! will sell what appeals to their customers (Christian, Jew, Pagan, agnostic, and whatever!) as long as it doesn't offend the majority of those customers.
Yes, these upcoming hostess sets are interesting. The one with Long Lines has the two glasses clinking and even says "clink" on it. There goes the idea that SU! is run by Mormons and won't ever have a glass for drinking. These are obviously for toasting with champagne.
And the sweater with a thread unravelling - I know people are offended because "knit happens" simply REMINDS them of "sh-- happens." But this is NOT that, so what the heck. Ridiculous. It's bad enough to be offended by real things, but something that is simply a G-rated substitute? Come on.
sigh.
