Splitcoaststampers.com - the world's #1 papercrafting community
You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
Most of us have played Monopoly, and if not, we've at least heard of it. You play with little metal icons (although they're probably plastic by now) like a shoe or a hat or a car.
There are places you can buy like Baltic or Mediterranean Avenue (the cheapest) or Park Place and Boardwalk (the most expensive.)
Community Chest cards were most likely to give you money. Chance cards were most likely to send you somewhere.
For the Splitcoast Stampers version, answer as many or as few of the following questions as you like:
1. What is the name of your Monopoly game?
2. What item from your craft area are you using as your playing icon?
3. What is the name of your least expensive property?
4. What is the name of your most expensive property?
5. Your Community Chest card reads: Collect $100.00 from each player for _______________________ (fill in the blank).
6. Your Chance card sends you to _____________________.
7. Take a ride on the _______________________ railroad.
8. Go directly to ______________, do not pass Go, do not collect $200.00.

Thanks for the Great Idea for my daughter's bday gift
Just want to say thanks to the person who started this thread: uncbballfan. It gave me a great idea for a birthday present for my daughter who loves board games and fruit....FRUIT-O-POLY!
The game pieces were made from polymer clay (idea came from pinterest, search fruit polymer clay). These came out slightly burnt :(
The game cards were modified to say things like, "your vitamix is broken, pay $15 for repairs" and "You became president of the fruit market, each player pays you $50."
The box was an old cookie/biscuit box that came from Costco that I covered with some cardstock.
The money and the dice will be used from our Monopoly game. I made extra house and hotel pieces out of cardstock b/c we always run out. This is great for travel, b/c the paper pieces are flat and not bulky and sharp. Everything can fit into a large Ziploc.
This whole thing took me maybe 3 - 4 hours and I was rushing like a mad woman. I wish I had time to think it through and use more rubber stamps, but c'est la vie. She liked it anyway
Thought I'd share in case one of your loved ones likes board games and ..... ? and you can create a customized game just for them!

This is soooo awesome!
I think I might have to steal --- I mean BORROW your idea to make a Music Monopoly for both of my sons. I think they'd get a kick out of it even though they are grown adults.

I am ABSOLUTELY stealing this idea, our friend Phillip is going to be getting a Dance-opoly game in August.
(Last year, he turned 66. His name is Phillip. Do you know how many Phillips 66 things & pictures there are out there??? I'm dangerous when I have a theme!)
You guys have absolutely made my day with the Monopoly versions you've made or will be making...
I try to be creative in starting thread conversations, and this time I thought I'd gone too far; but look how it's turned out! I guess this time I was thinking inside the box... the Monopoly box!
Melissa & Pat, you've got to share pics!

I lOVE this idea! My daughter just happens to collect Monopoly games. Last count I heard was 129. Yes, 129 different Monopoly games. I never gave the thought of there possibly being that many until she went a little nuts for the game. LOL And those are all English versions. She doesn't have any from countries outside of the US. Not that she wouldn't want them, mind you, just that she hasn't come across any of them yet. Hah!
Anyway, this is an ingenious idea! Stampin' Monopoly! She would love this as she loves to stamp. She helps me prep for my classes and clubs. And then comes to class to help everyone with their projects too. She's even filled in for me when I've gotten sick at the last minute. I think I will create a Stampin' Monopoly just for her. Her birthday is in July so I've got a little time to think about hers so, in the meantime, I will answer these questions for myself.
1. What is the name of your Monopoly game? What's Inkin' - opoly (this is my Stampin' Up! Team Name!)
2. What item from your craft area are you using as your playing icon? My personalized "Hand Stamped By CSPRAD" stamp, of course!
3. What is the name of your least expensive property? Snail Trail Park
4. What is the name of your most expensive property? Rhinestone Ranch

6. Your Chance card sends you to: Salt Lake City for OnStage Live!

8. Go directly to The Backorder List, do not pass Go, do not collect
$200.00.
