To answer a few questions -

I use the classic circle nesties to do mine - {nesties} - this place has SUPER fast shipping....and shipping is free over $25.

I think someone was referring to the circle hand stamp. That is the "manual" version. It is in all the smaller sets like these...

that is so awesome about getting all the orders - Congratulations!!!!

And if you ever need help with them, feel free to shoot me a pm! I just love these - so easy to use!

I am wanting one of these very badly but still have a few questions? If I get the large kit for multiple impressions, do I also need to get their re-inkers or can I use my SU re-inkers? Would I need a new pad for each of the different colors I use? I'm thinking that the manual ones, I can just stamp into my inkpads and clean each time.

you can use whatever reinkers you would like. Each pad has two inkable sides so it can be inked with two inks.

I purchased the 1 3/16" kit and have been very happy with it. I love the fact that this size can be puched out with a 1 1/4" circle punch and placed inside the SU scalloped circle punch. Although I would prefer to have the option of using the handle, unfortunately I don't own nestabilities so I don't have the right size circle punches for the larger kit.

There's also a manual wood one that has two colors on one side, so you can ink the border one color and the letters another. Totally cool.... The only color one (pre-inked I mean) is the black one, and I think that just comes in the big kit, doesn't it? Otherwise you're just needing to use your own ink.

A sort-of hijack here: I was looking at the list of classes at Stampfest Orlando next month, and Inky Antics is having a class on DIY Monograms. For the cost of the class, which is $35, you get a full kit -- which sells for $34.95. So I'm thinking (hoping) that they will be selling them in their booth also. I'm ordered mine from Flourishes the other day, and I just got an e-mail that it shipped today!

Emily,
I am considering purchasing the nesties--I don't have any yet. Which size classic circle nesties work the best with the diy monogram kits? I have the C-45 Monogram stamper kit and after reading your post Sunday night, I ordered some of the new smaller kits over at Stamp Castle. I can't wait to receive them this week. By the way, I love your work.
Thanks,
Anne

Lisa ~

All three of these projects are great! I'm anxiously awaiting mine (they've been shipped). I've started putting the cards together; and, as soon as the stampers get delivered, I can finish them up.

Thanks for posting the links to yours.

if you want to use the Curlz or the Special Occassions with the border then no - the SU 1 3/8 punch is to small - you can punch it out so it shows just the monogramed letters with no border.

Can I ask a question? Sorry if it seems silly...you can make any monogram you'd like w/these, correct? It's not just a set where you have to tell them what monogramed letter you'd like, right? I think is what I've been looking for!!!

Correct you can make whatever monogram you'd like! As long as you get a DIY Monogram set! They are pretty cool!

Thanks a lot, everybody! I have been seeing these on blogs and in the gallery, and thinking that they were nice, but probably not for me. Now...here I go to research exactly which ones to buy! How much do want to bet it ends up being all of them?

My husband used to tell me that I didn't spend enough money on myself...

I found you needed slightly larger than the SU punches - although it does fit nicely in to the SU scalloped punch.

Ok, I am looking to see which I use....

I use the Classic Small circles - the third smallest to do the letter with border.

And the Classic Scalloped Small Circles - the second smallest to layer it.

I just ordered the wood handle set (thanks to Emily!) and my friend order both wood handle sets! I ordered this type because you can use any ink with it. I don't have any reinkers and I didn't want to invest more $$ just in case it sits there and I never use it. Not like that EVER happens! lol

Melissa,

I placed an order on the 10th and received it yesterday, so five days. I couldn't wait to open them up and try them out. I was very impressed with how they are packaged. A very nice little box which will make them easy to store.

Help!
When I began this thread I was so excited to see all the positive comments. I immediately ordered the 39.00 kit plus an extra set with the wooden handle. My order, with it's free shipping thanks to Emily, was at my door in four days.
I was so excited! But now my excitement turned to frustration. My husband, whom is very mechanical minded, tried to help and now he is also frustrated
Not sure if it something we did or just received a bad holder but we have black ink on everything including ourselves. It is like the black ink leaks or something. Anyone have any ideas? As of now I just wished I had ordered the wooden handle kits.

I don't think Archivers has these. I've seen a couple other JustRight products there but not these.

Ok, what problem are you having exactly? I'm not sure how to help without that info. Feel free to email me ([email protected]) or to call The Stamp Castle - they have fantastic customer service.

I've been playing around with my new DIY kits today. I also ordered the small lettering set that you can add words as a border around the large letter in the center. Everything was going well until I went to clean off the stamp on my cleaning pad. On the first swipe on the cleaning pad all of the tiny letters jumped out of the holder. How in the world would you clean those tiny letters? Has anyone done this yet and can give me some tips.

Thanks!
Carole

Thanks Emily. I guess I just have a heavy hand when scrubbing away. I'll try it again and be more gentle. They are fun and I liked the way the stamped out.

If using the Nestabilities scalloped circles which set do I need? I have the large round scalloped circles on order. I'm hoping this set will work but I'm beginning to think I might need the small scalloped circles instead.

Thanks!
