I don't mean to sound excited but I kinda am! I will really miss him - we are never apart (last time he went out of town he decided not to spend the night, and came home at 2 in the morning!) BUT since he'll be gone, DD and I get our first ever mommy and daughter night (she is 17 months old). And since she goes to bed at 8, I get all night to stamp!! Yay!!!!! I cannot believe how much I am looking forward to this - alone time! No interruptions from DH, wondering how to do something, or where something is, or if he should call so and so,....you know - DH stuff!
An evening to yourself for a busy wife and mom is a real treat. Enjoy to the max! And, your little one is sooooo adorable in your avatar. What a great family you have!
my Dh is working in michigan right now and living back with his mom and he comes home every 10 days he has been doing this since we got married 10 yrs ago he was actually home last yr working here at the GM plant it it was nice to have him home and well its nice when he is gone too..It's harder on the kids but now that they are getting older 15 & 9 its not to bad
I feel like that too. My dh rarely goes out of town, and when he does I play! I don't want to sit around sulking and being lonely or bored. I've seen other ladies do that and the poor girls are just miserable. I have a great time with the kids, rent movies and play games. Then they go to bed and I stay up as late as I can playing! I have a great time, and when dh gets home I am usually in a really good mood, and am glad to see him!
my dh travels for one to 2 weeks every other month and boy do I love it! Just enough time to miss and plenty of time to han out with my girls (10 & 6) and have some chill out time! We go out to eat stamp and dont do anything in the house! Of course it means a major cleanup the night before he comes home!!

Too funny... my DH and I have been together 23 years.... married 14 this year... we don't like spending nights apart either...even after so long, but let me tell you... when those poker buddies call..... the cheerleader in me just comes jumping right out!! Go, have a good time, distract yourself... Football season? Great!!! Go to so and so's house for the barbecue!!!
  Sound mean? No, we all need our space.... to grow... after all, we are individuals and need the "ME" time. Everyone is entitled to it.
