From the desk of Timeless Template - printer troubles
I've just downloaded my first Timeless Template from Papertrey - the 'From the desk of' template. I've tried printing the back panel first. My printer isn't printing it correctly so I'm not getting the right size. One of my side pieces comes out short at 2 1/4" instead of 2 1/2". I've wasted several sheets of CS now and am really frustrated! I only have one pack of letter sized PTI CS as we use A4 size in the UK. I don't want to waste any more CS and I can't test it on my normal printer paper as that's A4 sized.
I saw that Lauren suggested to turn page scaling to none and I've done that. Are there any other settings I need to change to get this to work please?
I'm using an HP Photosmart C4480. I've selected Letter sized paper. I'm really at a loss as to how to get it to work correctly and I'm quite miffed now and tearing my hair out so any help will be greatly appreciated!
Hi,
I can relate to your frustrations. I printed my template out on normal copy paper for a test, but once I put my CS in it was a different story. :( Jammed my printer so bad had to have my son get it working again. Once that happened I ended up using the copy paper printed as my template on my Scor-Pal. Very quick and easy, at least the frustration level wasn't there any more. The one I started yesterday, I just placed my CS on the Scor-Pal and used the paper template and marked where I needed to score. I was done within 15-minutes, that was scoring, moving the kitty off my desk, cutting the areas that needed to be cut, moving other kitty off my desk, folding, giving first kitty a scrap of paper and moving off my desk, adding the adhesive, put a piece of adhesive on second kitty's paw and moved off my desk (one way to eliminate kitty help, put a piece of adhesive on their paw, never saw her move so fast!). Decided to call it a night after laughing so hard.
Good luck.

I've got precisely nowhere with the printing. It's a new printer and now I'm thinking it wasn't a wise choice.
Anyway, I thought, well okay, I'll just make my box with 2 1/4" sides instead of 2 1/2" and then I printed off the front panel. That wasn't the right size to match up with the back panel. So at that point I gave up. Guess I will get my ruler and pencil out and do it the old fashioned way!
Did you save the template to your computer? If so, open it up again and just print out a normal set of templates and the instruction (or the five idea pages), I think once you get your normal print out, you will be able to figure it out. Since you are in the UK, I am not sure of your different measurements, but I wouldn't hesitate to e-mail Nicole or Lauren, although Lauren has been off her blog for a few days due to a family death. Not sure if you need the item completed soon or not, hopefully this helps. Sorry, I wish I could give you more info. Wishing you the best, it comes together so easy, it will surprise you.

I'm making a teacher's gift and want to use this template but can't find it on the PTI site. I couldn't find it on Lauren's blog either. Does anyone have a link to it?
