Default Design Principles and Color Theory

I've been wanting to study design principles and color theory. I think it will help in my card designs. I got some books from the library, but they were too advanced, written for art students. I'd like some ideas of books and/or magazines that have good articles. I don't get any stampers mags yet, but I'm kinda thinking about looking into them. I don't scrap, just make cards. Any recommendations?? Thanks!!

I found a web site, cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com. Dont know how I found it! You know how it goes, a link, to a link, etc. Anyhow, Lots of ideas there. Also, try pagemaps.com. These sites have card layout ideas. on color, try scraptitude.com/colorcombo/ . Papercrafts mag has a web site papercraftmag.com and you could get ideas there! I hope that helps!

here is a website that I use for photography, but the same basic principles apply to any visual art.

Kimm Bennington-Thompson has 3 card composition tutorials on her Ephesians25 website. Also some interesting color info, along with technique tutorials. Sorry, still can't post a link but if you Google her name that should lead you to her website.
