Demo on EI?

Our call center just announced their 3 month notice of closing the center. I know I will get EI (Canadian Employment Insurance) for a while and will have some time on my hands. I would like to become a demo but can not afford for it to cause me to lose EI benefits. Anyone know anything about this and have some tips?

There is a max you can earn weekly ( I think it's $110) before it affects your EI (that's for mat leave - don't know about regular).

Look into, but there is an amount you can earn.

there is a maximum amount you can earn and it varries not only province to province but also region to region within each province. look online for your info.

I've sent an e mail and will hear within 5 days. I just wasn't sure if it made a difference because it's self imployment.
