Default Decorated envelopes?

Do you decorate your envelopes of leave them plain?

If you decorate, where do you stamp - front or back?

I've been putting a stamp of the main image on the flap of the envy - not in front.

I always stamp my envelopes. I like to do thefront where the address goes. I usually stamp off theimage so that I get a very subtle image under the address.

Usually do the back flap as well.

I have recently used my circle punch on the flap and use one of round stanps to stamp inside the cutout.

just started recently the envies... i never thought about it before i started in my new stamping group.
you barely see the envies poste on scs, too.

but i think it makes the card complete.
i usually just do the front. i got revieting to do the flap of the envie and punch it out... but so far i was too lazy to ink up that set too and have it cleanded and put back in my closet.

I always always always stamp the bottom left corner of my envelopes. Love to do that. My favorite set for that is Year Round Fun II. And also Mini Mates. They are both perfect for that.

I always do. Sometimes when I upload a card with an envelope I really liked, I'll post that with it. Not often though. But really, sometimes the envelopes are what "make" the card, kwim?

Well it depends on who it's for or what it is

If it's a RAK, I have 2 different stamps I use, one says You've been RAK'd and that one usually goes in the bottom left corner of the front and I have another one that's a solid circle that says RAK inside. That one goes on the flap.

If I have the matching wheel, I'll stamp that either along the left side or along the bottom front.

Sometimes I'll stamp a small image from the set on the flap if I remember ;)

I do try to, I think it just makes it a complete package! I have a stamping frend who always attends to the details and it really makes her cards WOW. BTW, she also always stamps the back of the card with a small coordinating design from the same set or one with a similar theme and initals it, now, I do too. (Besides, it reminds people that you made it!)
Kinda like a Hallmark approach...beautiful envie....personal signature! It's all in the packaging baby!

I always stamp my envelopes, usually the left bottom corner. I have stamped across the bottom, depending on what stamps I used on my card.

I usually stamp my envelopes. On the back I'll stamp a background stamp or stamps with the same theme as the card inside. Then on the front of the envelope I'll stamp something on the bottom left corner.

I ALWAYS stamp a coordinating image on my envelopes when I am making cards. I use the same colors as my card so they match well. I stamp in the bottom left corner on the front. If I am in a hurry and have to get a card sent out then I sometimes don't do this but when I am planning ahead and stamping I always do. Yesterday I make 4 sets of 12 cards all with matching envelopes. It was fun!

Default Yup :)

I do stamp my envelopes and people usually fuss over the envelopes as much as they do over the card. They really like that it makes it a set.

I stamp an image on the front, in the bottom left corner, and I sometimes add a little something on the flap. Either a centered image or if it's something small, I'll stamp it repeatedly to make a border. I have as much fun finding a way to stamp the envelope so that it ties in with the design of the card as I do making the card itself.

Something to do when you're in a hurry and don't have time to stamp and color the envelope, even just sponging a bit of matching color on the envelope looks nifty. Take a post it note and block off a margin on the left side of the envelope and just dab on color really quickly. The definite margin makes it really stand out.

Thanks for this thread. Betsy, your are gorgeous. Robin, did you post a sample from those sets?

That being said, how nice it would be to have a section in the gallery for envelopes. I need to see ideas - when I try to do envelopes they just don't look anything like the examples I see here.

Am I the only one who stamps on the lower right corner???

I almost always stamp my envies using paint prints! (if the card is for a woman) I stmap all over the back & then the lower right front. If I am really in the mood for more ink I will also put something on the top left corner over my return address.

I love decorating the envelopes- I just do it quick but I think it always looks fun when you're done!

I always decorate my envies to match the card inside. I think that makes it really stand out. You don't see store bought cards with beautiful envelopes very often. People always comment on my envies and for some reason, I just love decorating them! It's like the prize I get after all the hard work I put into the design of the card, ya know?

Default Decorate envelopes

I decorate the envelopes to match the card. I usually stamp on the flap on the back and the lower left corner on the front. Sometimes I put a border all the way along the bottom of the front. Sometimes just the left and right corners. It all depends on the size of the stamp
