Has anyone been back to Lydia's blog this evening?!?! She just stated that she was in a class with Spencer Willis and he told them they should include something (not sure WHAT it was?!?!) on their blog on their demo site! So BLOGS for demos!
She ALSO posted that when online ordering is implemented, customers will be able to shop by COLOR!
We can post our blog addresses on our SU websites!!
oh my goodness! I saw this on the Canada Demo site:
Delivery Issues with Purolator
July 31, 2008
UPS has recently partnered with Purolator to improve the service UPS provides to extended areas of Canada. Unfortunately, the transition to Purolator has caused some temporary service issues in some parts of the country. UPS is working diligently with Purolator to correct these service issues and hopes to have them resolved soon.
If you are experiencing delivery delays, please contact UPS Canada directly so they can work to resolve the problem.

Well, whew! I didn't even know we weren't supposed to do that & I added mine when I signed up for a DBWS recently when they announced the online ordering. Guess I'm okay then

By the way canben - thanks for posting all those blogs!!! I've visited every one at least once (obviously I should be doing other things but I'm not!)
And just to show my age, when someone mentioned about feeding their kids and said "Goldfish are a food group, right?" I laughed (Weird I thought but a cute joke). It wasn't until an hour or so later I remembered my granddaugher had a box of goldfish when I visited and realized she meant the cracker goldfish not the real thing. It was after someone said "I've put bowls of goldfish strategically around the house" (or something like that). The laugh is on me!
Here's another thank you to you "canben"---I feel like you could be my long lost soul sister I am always posting "SCS Alerts" on different SU groups when I find something unique, cute, or just strikes a creative nerve. Your wonderfully endless postings of blog links inspires me (as well as others)--thank you...my fellow sister gatherer!
btw ~ where in NC are you located? I moved from Wilmington but grew up (7th grade till early twenties) in the Jamestown/Greensboro area. Just curious if we JUST might be sisters separated by birth ~ hehehe ~ Gatherer smiles ~ kelli

(btw, y'all would be great detectives hunting down all these "leads"). lol ... i am loving all this! i am really wishin' i was there though! i thought with all the $$ i'm saving on hotel, airfare and whatnot that i'd have that to spend on the new catty stuff but you can't put a price on all that convention goodness! i wish i was in all that chaos right now! cuz that would mean i'm carrying that super cute convention tote!!!
atleast i feel like i'm "in the know" when i check in here! keep it comin'!

Link me up girl.. Man I can't keep up with you!!! lol... YOU FREAKING ROCK!!
WOW!!!!! This would be WAY cool. Does EK success make Martha's punches?
Sorry--this question was asked ages ago--back on p. 2, I think! I'm finally getting to read thru this all today!
Anyway, I just bought some MS punches today (hydrangea--after reading about them in another SCS thread, I HAD to get them!). They are blocky looking and rather light in weight compared to EK/SU! ones, plus they don't say EK Success nor Paper Shapers on them, so I think it's pretty safe to say that EK doesn't make them. Hmm...someone must have found a way around EK's patent since they DO have a thumb press, though it IS different...
Hey Loretta! Good luck with the move! Arleen mentioned that this was "the week"....glad you are finding a way to keep up with the big excitement here - as if MOVING were enough to stop the seriously addicted like us! ;)

I was so UNIMPRESSED to hear that there were already Memento Mall items on eBay that I contacted the seller.
This is what I wrote:
Dear xxxx,
Are you a demonstrator currently attending Convention? If you
are, I would think you might feel a bit bad selling these items on
eBay. I'm sure Stampin' Up! would be disappointed to know that
an active demonstrator bought these things to re-sell them at a
profit.
A lot of demonstrators are watching your listings and are
disappointed too. I'm sure you don't care what I have to say, but
it just doesn't speak well for someone who works with such a
fabulous company to do something like this. That said, I know a
lot of people want these items so I'm sure they will sell for quite
a price...
Now, I'm sure it was wrong of me to contact the person in this way, but quite frankly I'm disgusted.
I did it, it's done and there's no going back. Rather out of character for me, but oh well.
I sent her a message also. I also emailed it to a friend - SU themselves. I hope they do find out who it is and does something about it. This stuff irks me as the preveiw items hurt my sales and my bookings as a demo.

All of the MS product line is made by EK. She signed an exclusive contract a year or so ago with them. I don't think SU would sell MS for the simple fact she has her own line of ink and stamps. To much competition. They may care more fiskar products though since the new scallop edge is the same design as fiskars
border punches.

I believe they say EK on the boxes, in teeny tiny print.

Oh thank goodness it's not just me! I had just looked at the blog with the pic of the goldfish in her hotel room so that's what I was thinking of, too, when I saw the first mention of goldfish for snacks! Unfortunately, it took a couple more references by some other ladies here before it finally dawned on me that they're talking about the crackers! I think someone mentioned having a bag of goldfish for her kids in the car and that's when I got it. Well, not right away. I was still thinking of a poor little goldy swimming around at first! Yikes!
OK, back to enjoying all of the catty sneak peeks!! Can't wait to get a copy of my own
Wow! That's really great! I remember they were supposed to announce something else exciting about DBWS!! I'm signing up for the free 2 mos. right before the expiration date so I can get to try it with the new features for longer. I'll probably do it Aug. 11th or Aug. 12th. I'm so excited!!!

Goodbye 160 lbs. since 1/1/08, only 10 lbs. left to goal! Hope I make it by 2010.
You all need to check out pictures in the gallery...special events...convention. Andrea is posting pics and there is a pic of a new dry embossing template with the mosquito stamp.
This is the FIRST time in six years I haven't attended convention and, thanks to you ladies who keep posting, I am JUST as excited as if I had been there in person, will just have more cash to spend when the cattie finally gets here. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR helping us all out! WE LOVE YOU!
