I received this e-mail.....I placed my order like February 2nd.
Cut@Home's authorization to charge your card is only valid for 30 days. Since the Nestabilites are back ordered, it was necessary to charge your card 1.00 to keep our authorization active. As soon as the Nestabilites ship, we will charge the balance (that's your total minus 1.00). We are still expecting our shipment to arrive the middle of March and your order will be the first ones we ship.

I think it is more than fair - because they have to keep track of your order... I know of people who have had things "ordered" from a shop for over a year and the shop continues to try to contact them and gets no response so the shop has to honor the last communication with the customer... I might actually suggest this to them. ;)
I received the same email. This is my first time to order from them and they appear very reputable. I appreciate that they are keeping us informed! I just wish there was no back order. I want those nesties!!!!
I got the same email. The only thing I thought about the email was...yippee! It's closer to having my Nestabilities in hand. I completely trust what they are doing.
I think it will save us money and speed up delivery in the long run. It must be a new process because when my Nestabilities came in and it was past 30 days, she actually called me to get my auth to charge my credit card. Since she is applying the $1 as credit towards the order and it speeds up the process it is all good...sounds like an ingenious solution to me.
Oh and the customer service I received from them was very good...as personal and terrific as the service I try to provide my customers. I was more then pleased.
I wouldn't worry about it however I have three Nesties orders waiting for shippment with the first being 1/27 and I did not receive an email. Oh well I will be patient:twisted:
I have made 3 orders and have never had a problem with them!
They need to keep your account active and will ship them as soon as they get them. These are a very hot item right now and Cut at Home, with the 40% off coupon, has the best deal in town!

I ordered all my nesties from Marcie--had two on the waiting list at the same
time. One order was over 30 days so marcie called to get the CC info again. She sent out all orders the same day as she received them. She is incrediably honest. efficient ahd truly a pleasure to work with. Fret not she will get your orders out to you as soon as she gets the products. Margie
I LOVE cutathome. The demand has far exceeded the demand for nestabilities... and I know each month when I order a set I'll have to wait a while. I, too, have had my CC charged a dollar and have no worries, all will be fine. She has to do this to keep the order active....
I had read this too, I don't have a problem with it. I have ordered from her twice so far, with another order placed for when the new dies come in. Both orders came in the time frame she said they would. This last order I placed *knowing* that they were on backorder, but since the price is right, I can just wait for them. LOL

i received the same email on my most recent order of nesties. this will be my 3rd set from them plus numerous orders for quickutz...i trust them and have never had any problems with them at all!!!

I'm a big fan of Cut at Home and Marcie! Have always gotten great service! I'm waiting for my third order of nesties, and have not gotten an email. Last month I ordered the petite oval set just because they were not on backorder---they came quickly and I love them. This month I ordered the circles and will have to wait, but as someone else said the 40% off is worth the wait. I will have no problem with the $1 charge if it comes to that.
How do we know if we will be receiving them with their next shipment in middle March? I know I placed my order sometime in January, but what if others who placed their orders sooner are more than she gets in stock?
I ordered all of my nesties from them and I think they are wonderful. They have great service, and their prices are the lowest I am seen with the coupon. I have been very happy with all of my 4 orders. Marcie is awesome.
I have to go back and read all the posts, but I will tell you one thing, for this discount you get, as long as it all totals out in the end, they can do what they have to. I mean really, where else are you gonna get an entire set of nesties(for instance the classic circles and scallops) for less than $60???
Oh my, which shape did you order in January? I didn't know the wait list was that long..lol!

I totally trust this company because of the service I have received in the past. I think since they informed you of what they are doing there is no reason to be concerned. I am also waiting on my nesties. I can hardly wait.
