Default Current SU Color Matching

I have run across a stash of old SU Mauve Mist, Sage Shadow, and Brocade Blue cardstock, and I do not currently have inkpads for them. Is there a current SU color that is close enough for me to use with that cardstock? #stamperonabudget

You can use this site to look for colors that coordinate with that card stock - just use the choose collection option on the left and under the drop down box you’ll find retired

My create ink color lab

hope that helps

What a great idea! Only problem: I've looked up and down that retired list four times, and I'm not seeing Mauve Mist! I'm probably just missing it! Can somebody click on that link and tell me a stand-out color that it is positioned close to in the list to help me spot it?

You’re right -it’s not there!

plan B - check my SU! Color Wheel - shoot! I have a semi-updated one so no Mauve Mist.

plan C - search the gallery. 2942 results. Some might just say mauve, but the second one that shows up - a sympathy card - definitely has Mauve Mist listed as a color so a gallery search might help.

But what I'm wanting is INK to match the cardstock. Like, is there anything currently available that will be a close match?

I don’t have any Mauve Mist left so I don’t know. I just thought checking the gallery might give you an idea of ways to use the card stock without having the ink.

I don't know if this will help, but I found this chart where she compares new SU colors with older colors. Mauve Mist is shown with the the purple tones. https://stampyourartout.com/2019/04/...mparisons

And that will be helpful, too, so thank you!

This is a helpful page. At least I can see sort of how it compares to some of the current ones that are available.

I don't, unfortunately. However, it is one to throw into the mix as I consider what i might need to be able to buy in order to make use of this cardstock.

Or maybe I need to try and sell the cardstock and use the proceeds to buy a new color paper or ink that I can use.

You can always use Memento Tuxedo black, ink. Black looks nice with most colors.

I created a chart for myself of all SU cardstock that might help. It's not a great copy because it's to large for my scanner ... sorry!

Haha! Thanks, Alice! That was my thread, too! When I didn't get the information I was looking for, I went more specific with these particular colors!
