I'm 5'4" and I stand. I tried to sit, but found that I was always needing something that was just out of reach. I do have a bar stool in my craft room, by my daughter uses it when she stamps.
ETA that my husband makes fun of me because I stand when I'm making cards or scrapbooking, when I'm using my laptop for chatting, and when I'm on the phone. He says he doesn't know why we even have chairs in this house.
I'm a stander too for most things! I'm 5' 3" and stand mostly for stamping, colouring, matting, cutting, glueing, talking, on the telephone and even when reading my books I do tend to sit when I am at the computer.
My DH says the same about the chairs! I sit when I realise my back and legs are aching but after a while I'm up again.
Just a funny sidenote, at a Stampin' Up seminar here in Memphis several years ago, Shelli Gardner said standing up to stamp must be a regional thing, as so many southern stampers she met were standers!

I used to sit and craft only. But now I find myself standing more when creating. I only sit down when I'm using my Wizard or coloring. Or when I need to mask something- I find that works best when sitting.
I'm 5' 7".
I'm kneeling on the floor for Wizard stuff and basic cutting with the trimmer. I'd never have enough clear desk space for them . In a non-crafting context I usually sit on the floor anyway.
I'm 5'6". I do both. If I'm trying to center something or if I'm masking some piece of the image I usually stand. It gives me a better perspective. If I'm just stamping something that is going to be cut out, I sit. I always stand when I'm using my cuttlebug or cricut. I sit when I color. I find myself getting up, sitting down, getting up, sitting down. It actually is GOOD for me (physically) to craft, because at the office and when I write (I'm the author of two books) I'm ALWAYS sitting. Those two things give me BBS (big butt syndrome). ;)

5'7" and I sit. I am athletic, do a lot of sports, and find that I just hate standing. I run, swim, bike, play tennis, but when I'm not doing any of those things I hate being on my feet. I even have a stool in my kitchen so I can sit while cooking. I have a camp chair in my car, and it goes everywhere with me just in case I find myself somewhere with no good place to sit.
My husband is the opposite. He prefers to stand. It makes people uncomfortable sometimes, when everyone is sitting and he's not.

No blog for me. My gallery chronicles my card-making successes and mishaps.
I'm in a wheelchair, so sitting down. I find I can't use some of the bigger background stamps. Can't get the pressure. If friends have them I'll sometimes ask them to do a few images for me.
Ok, here is a suggestion for you....I am 5"9", I sit while stamping....always. When I do background stamps I ink my stamps (wood or cling) and turn them upside down on my table so my inked side is up. Then I line up my card to the stamp, holding in very close to the stamp, I will drop it down. Then very carefully lay a few fingers on one side of card and gently rub the other side...then lay your other hand of the other side of the card (before lifting the hand that has been holding) and rub gently with the other hand...This will give you a perfect background stamped image every time. I saw a video of someone doing this...I will see if I can find it and link it to another post. Kind of hard to say in words, but is very simple to do...have been doing it like this for years.
5'4" and I sit at stamp class each month and always stand at home! The difference is that at stamp class we work on a dining room table and at home I have a bar sized craft table.
It depends how much time I am spending doing it, and how big of a mess I made before. If I have time, I sit down because my supplies are behind my chair and my table is in front, so I just swivel and get what I need. If I am in a hurry or already have my table swamped with 5 other projects I stand and possibly use another surface if needed.
I'm 5'7'' and I sit down to stamp. I have never tried stamping standing up, as I don't have the set-up for it at home. I'd be interested in trying it to see if it is something I could get into, because I have always been intrigued by crafts rooms with work spaces set up at counter height. It had never even crossed my mind before seeing pictures of those work spaces that someone would want to stamp or scrapbook standing up.
I still have a feeling that I'd be looking to sit down before long...

Another stander here, and I'm 5'4". I don't know a single other stamper in my area who prefers standing, but have noticed in my art classes at school that there are a few kids who want to stand and work--and I let them!

I sit, and I'm 5' 3-3/4"! Hey, I'll take the 3/4"! I used to say 5'4" but like in the last post Dr. said 5'3", and I said to him, "plus 3/4" and he just laughed!
I sit for most of my work, but when I need to position a piece just right somewhere, I stand to make sure I have it just right. I have a computer desk and a very cool rolling office chair and floor mat. I roll all over to get this or that.
