Linda.....Over the years, I've joined several of these kinds of clubs but did cancel membership after receiving the first project. I found the quality of the products to not be up to the standards of what I was using in my card making projects.
For the beginner, I would think perhaps they are a good idea to get started especially if you have a small supply of craft tools and supplies.
Really? I have been stamping a long time, and my mojo has decided to take a vacation... hahahah... I also joined because it said it was created my SplitCoastStampers, so I'm hoping this has a 'higher' standard than most.
I will keep this under consideration as the project comes. Seeing online for the first couple of projects, they look awesome. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Hi there!
We did a product focus on these kits, but just to clarify - we did not create them If you want to read our team's review of the kits, click here.
Thanks everyone! I read the reviews and honestly can't wait to get the first kit. This is also something great for me to take to friends houses, when they say, hey come on over and bring your own project. I can grab the kit and go. WOOHOO!!!
I received the information in the mail and loved the first set that I would be sent if I joined - and for half price so I went for it to check out the kits- loved the stamp set when it arrived - not the best quality of clear stamps - really need to prime them with an eraser to get a good inked imaged - the paper, accessories and the horrible ink pads (which went right to the trash can) are not the best quality but I wanted the stamp set = (think SU 5th Floral at a great price!) I sent the payment and wrote CANCEL MEMBERSHIP written clearly on the invoice - the membership - 1 month later I received a bill stating I owed for a kit I never received - emailed them - received another bill the following month this one stating they were sending it for collections! SAY WHAT??? I emailed again re-stating I NEVER received the kit and was not intending on paying for something I never received - that I canceled the membership 2 months previous!! Got an email - so sorry you didn't receive the kit we will mail one right out to you.....in the meantime the same day I sent the last email - a package arrives - low and behold it is a kit from them stating it is the 3 shipment kit - figured seeing they sent it I would take a look at it - well it was the UGLIEST set I ever seen for invitations and party decorations - wrote return to sender on the package and shipped it back - in the meantime I email them NOT to send kit # 2 which was Classic Cars and also stated that in fact they do send the kit - seeing that I did cancel 2 months before that if I received it I would not pay for it nor any other kit received - 4 cancel emails and writing it on the original invoice when I payed and on another bill I received - I could not see how it is possible customer service NOT to see I was not interested in continuing receiving the kits! To my satisfaction, I received a final email - stating that they apologize for the confusion and they were sending out the Classic Cars kit complimentary! So I am satisfied that they finally canceled the membership and will be very leary if I receive more mail similar to this in joining - I definitely prefer to see what I am getting verses receiving it blindly and ending up not being satisfied!
I actually designed some projects for one of their kits (stamping collage - it's not out yet) a while back. The idea is that each kit teaches a "technique" and gives you the products to create the same projects in the kit. It is perfect for someone new to papercrafting/stamping or someone who wants to learn new techniques. Most of them are fairly easy.
I was very impressed with the amount of product in the kit and with the way the kit coordinated. I've been in kit clubs in the past where it seemed like things were just thrown together, but these kits were well thought out and planned.
I only designed the projects for the one kit, but from the looks of the other kits, the projects are fun and versatile and there really is a great range of styles.

I joined their card kit club and got 2 packages, then cancelled it through the online account management system with no issues and signed up for the creative stamping kit thinking i'd get more from being able to create things I could use for gifts rather than cards that aren't my style. The kits are cute, but I haven't completed any yet. I'll probably cancel my membership soon and save the money since I don't have time to work out othe projects lately.

Well.. I signed up for both CardMarker's kit of the month and Creative Stamping. I see one you get 8-10 cards and the other is 3-5 cards/projects.
I'm always on the go and have alot of friends who say come on over and bring a project... so I'm hoping this will be a great fix to grab my stamp bag with my standard stuff (mono, scissors, etc..), and grab a kit and go.
Plus when I travel, I am hoping I can do the same thing... grab a kit and my bag and go.

Yes, the one I designed for was the one with 3 projects...I'm hoping it comes out soon.. I saw it in the last Card Maker magazine advertisement for the kits!
What a great idea for using the kits... to bring the kit to a group or on vacation... few supplies to transport... and great finished projects!
Enjoy!

So Colleen now I'm super curious Did you design a stamp set and the other contents? Can you show us a peek?
LOL... No I didn't design the kit or the stamps... I just designed the projects. They contacted me to see if I was interested in designing for the collage stamping technique (they found a tutorial I had done for that technique on my blog ages ago)... and I said yes. They sent the kit supplies and I had to create projects and write up the instructions for it.
I can't sneak it yet... but I'm thinking it's going to be coming out soon!!!

I signed up for the Cardmaker Kit of the Month and just canceled my membership. I was very dissapointed by the quality and the projects werent very cute. I even gave it three months just to see if maybe the starter kits weren't up to par.
