I received a thing in the mail about joining the Creative Home Arts Club and was wondering if anyone else has joined, has heard of it, etc. Apparently, they will send you craft things to try out and give your opinion on. You get to keep the items they send you. A two year membership is $24 and you get a monthly magazine and bunch of other stuff.
I'd be very interested in knowing others experiences with this before I sign up! I don't want to spend the $24 if it's not worth it!!
I feel this is a big rip off. After I received my first magazine I received an envelope inviting me to become a "Life Time Member" for a ridiculous amount of $$. They would "give" me all kind of freebies. The only way you will get the freebies to try is if you pay the $$ to become a life time member. Don't do it.
I've heard nothing but bad reviews about this "club" on another forum. The stuff they send you is nothing you would want and yes they really push the lifetime membership. Steer clear.
I also just received something from them. I had my doubts, so I googled "Creative Home Arts Club". It was interesting how many people on the internet had bad things to say about this company. After reading about them I decided to shred their offer.
I fell for it and it isn't worth a thing. I have been a member for 3 years and have only gotten two items to test. Both would cost under $1.00 and nothing I would ever use. Ugly things. The magazine isn't any good either. The crafts to me are very out dated and nothing I would make. Don't waste your money like I did.

Totally agree! I was in it for a year, and in that time I never was impressed enough with any of the projects in their magazine to save a single copy. Got 1 chintzy product to test (nothing like how they make it sound, where you'll have a new sewing machine showing up at your door one month, and a kit to try out the next...) Don't waste your money.
Apparently my membership is up and I DO NOT plan to renew. The magazine only comes every other month and the ideas are mediocre. I was NOT impressed! The one freeby I got, was cheap! It made stuff from the dollar bin look extravagant.
I had the same experience as most of you. I paid my membership for a year. I got to test one product that was not even craft related and probably cost under a dollar. I never found anything interesting in the magazine. The crafts were definitely not ones I would ever try. Definitely not worth the money or the head ache. They kept pushing the lifetime membership. Sending tons of junk mail and even calling. I'm glad I have a new address and haven't heard from them in a long time now!

I tried this out. I got 1 thing to test which I thought
was pretty good. The Scor It Mini, but I already have it!!! Can't win. I'm so glad to hear about this as I've been wondering too. They bombarded me with info to become a lifetime member, but I don't think it's worth it. I wouldn't do 99% of the ideas in their magazine.

PS I'm new here!
Interesting. Glad I saw this. I don't need to join anymore clubs. I just cancelled my Disney Movie Club membership. I have had it for several years and hadn't bought a movie in over a year.
I did the 2-year membership and received nothing to test. At the end, I sent back a form where they were asking for a renewal and said I had no interest in renewing... I still keep getting renewal notices and offers of lifetime membership which I have no interest in! :(
