Default Cordless Embossing Gun

Has anyone ever seen this? A stamp/scrapbook store I just ordered from sent a cute little card with my shipped order highlighting some new things and this was listed. Boy they know how to get me hooked.

Anyway, sounds interesting. Do I already have a embossing gun, YES! Do I need another, NO! Will I buy a cordless one if they work, YES!

Anyone the first on the block with this thing that they can share how much they love and how I can't live with out it???

I'm also interested in reading about this. I love mine and it works perfectly fine, although the cord always makes it tumble to the side, no matter how much I try to get the "twis" out of it. So far, it's hasn't cause any problem, but I am keeping the heat gun away from anything that could melt from the heat.

It's also interesting because you don't have to sit right by a wall, near the plug...
Looking forward to reading more!

OMG. This would be fantastic. The lead from my heat gun keeps pulling the gun off my dining table, everyone keeps tripping over the lead and the lead is always to short.

Could you post the site for us so we can drool over it?

I want to see this thing, too! WOW that would be so great. I could get a cordless Embossing Gun and I will not have my kids trip over the cord. I don't have an electric outlet in my stampin room right now, just outside the door, that means I use a surge protector. What a mess of cords and it is just inconvenient!

This store is in Georgia, I live in VA, so I've never been there. I just ordered the Trio tape from them and they shipped it to me. I think some folks have also ordered a binding machine from them. (by the way they were very nice over the phone)

The website is www.coilconnection.com

I just went on there for more info, here it is:
It's suppose to be QUIET. Runs off butane (so no flying with it). The cost is 29.95 + 3.85 s/h. It looks well made in the photo.

I gotta admit it is a great idea, and I want it, I just feel guilty because I have a perfectly good embossing gun now.

A few years back I bought a cordless curling iron that used butane. It did not get very hot and the butane was pricey. Since the heat tool needs to get very hot, I'd want to see one used before I spend $30 on it.

I was going to say the same thing. I must have bought the same curling iron that used butane also.

Anytime I buy something that is over say $25 for stamping and scrapbooking and really want to use it. I guess I am just kinda cheap, KWIM?

Ah, ya beat me to the punch....I was going to mention that it probably runs on butane (yeah sure Kalkaskamz...sure you were <wink>) because my DH was all excited by this glue gun he bought (industrial strength) that was cordless and it runs on butane. This glue gun works great, until you are in the middle of your 1st graders popsicle stick car making project that is due the next morning (and it's 9pm) and you've run out of butane and have none in the house. Just something to think about.
(but a cordless heat tool sounds like such a dream come true..)

I'm not sure this would replace my regular gun. Even though the cord drives me nuts, I don't want to always be buying butane. But I'm oddly compelled to buy this thing. Why?

Then I thought, so that I could take it camping. Now, my husband would DIE if I bought stamping stuff camping. Tee Hee. But it would be great for going to crops and stuff where you aren't sure you will have access to electricity.

Yeah I agree. When I first read the card (never looked at the website) I was picturing something with a rechargeable battery. I want one now, someone needs to invent this, it would be sooo awesome!!!
