I've been branching out a bit lately and trying to try new stamp companies but I really prefer rubber stamps either wood mounted or ones that come with the cling film already attached. Sometimes it's not so evident when you first go to a website which kind of stamps they sell.
So can you help me out and tell me which companies sell which kinds? I'm getting so confused! :p
A couple of companies I like are Gina K. Designs, Unity Stamps, C.C. Designs, and The Greeting Farm. They all sell unmounted rubber stamps on cling. Bellas are really cute too but they come bare rubber.

I love all of those! My bellas get either the thin EZ mount or Tack it Over and over. Love it...that way I can fit more bellas in my CD cases!
Gina packages hers in cute little CD tins...love them!
Cornish Heritage Farms sells wood-mounted or the cling mounted stamps. The include a sturdy acetate sheet for you to put the cling mounts on and a nice index sheet also.
CHF uses great rubber - thick and deeply etched - and they have a large variety of stamp styles to choose from.
Gotta say, I love unmounted stamps, both rubber and clear. Way easier to store, and ahem, lets be honest, HIDE how many stamps I actually own from my DH.
Gina K. Designs: unmounted rubber on cling
C.C. Designs: unmounted rubber on cling
The Greeting Farm: unmounted rubber on cling
Unity Stamps: unmounted rubber on cling
Cornish Heritage Farms: unmounted rubber on cling AND wood mounted rubber
Bella: bare rubber
The Cat's Pajamas :wood mounted and clear available
Taylored Expressions: rubber cling mount
Whipper Snapper: wood mount or cling mount option
will try later on to turn the company names into links - could be a great (and all too tempting) resource!

Pink Cat Studio, bare rubber.
Rubber Romance - rubber, mounted and unmounted.
Sideshow Stamps - rubber, mounted and unmounted.
As I always buy unmounted because of shipping costs to Europe, I've never enquired if the mounted options for the second two are just cling mounted or wood. And on trying to check, I see what the OP means about it not always being as clear as it should be.
* River City Rubber works - Wood, unmountd, Cling & downloads! They have great funky old people
* www.RubberStampAve.com - wood, unmounted. She has tons of great guy stamps too. Lots of variety.

High Hopes hasn't been mentioned yet I don't think. They offer bare rubber, cling mount or wood mount - you choose which to put in your cart.

Just so you know, some of the detailed art lines at CHF are only available as wood mounted (e.g. Thomas Kinkade, Sandra Kuck), some lines are only available as cling (e.g. Rummage Bin) and others are available in both formats for you to choose whichever you want.
Unity Stamp Company has the red rubber that's cut out on foam ANsD they have some that are "wood slides" which are mounted on thinner pieces of wood that can be used as is or with one of their handles.
I, too, like stamping with rubber...and if I had the choice to buy any image in rubber or clear, I would mostly choose rubber. Though I am all about the image, not the ingredients....and I buy ANYTHING too! PTI and MFT are a couple of favorites of mine as well!

I suspect we've barely scratched the surface  There are lots of outfits out there whose availability on wood or cling I don't know off the top of my head (Ma Vinci's Reliquary, I Brake for Stamps, Hambo, Stampscapes etc) not to mention the fact that some of the paper companies (e.g. Basic Grey) are now producing clear stamps to coordinate with paper ranges. There are loads more clear stamp makers as well, I just avoided going there as you said you prefer rubber
Hambo offers rubber stamps wood mounted, or the stamps can be purchased unmounted with cushion, though our cushion is the kind normally used with wood mounts (and therefore sticky) rather than acrylic mounts. If you prefer bare rubber, the cushion can be pulled off, OR they can be treated for use with acrylic mounts. So actually, if you like red rubber, these might offer the most versatility.

The Angel Company sells Unmounted Blue Rubber Stamps.
Each sheet of Stamps you will get a Full Sheet of Creative Cling foam. Very much like Ez-mount Foam.
We are very much Like Stampin' Up! as meaning you need to contact your demo in order to order from Them.
And right now The Angel Company does Not ship outside the USA unless you are on a Miltary Base.
Some of the Demo's ship Internationally.
Stampin.com sells both wood mounted Rubber stamps and unmounted Rubber stamps.
If you purchase unmounted rubber stamps you will have to purchase some mounting foam, Cause their stamps do not come with it.
Clear and simple stamps . come sells clear acrylic stamps. Wonderful stamps
JessicaLynn Orginals also sell Clear Acrylic Stamps. Again wonderful stamps.
Well it started out me just wanting to know what companies had rubber but it's been interesting seeing all these different companies I didn't even know existed.
you have the option to buy mounted or unmounted (deeply etched red rubber) and cling mount is available for purchase although you can always use Aleene's tack it over & over.
I am such a fan of rubber, cling mount stamps for use with acrylic blocks!
Impression Obsession, for most images, lets you choose between wood mounted, cling mounted, or bare rubber. They also have clear stamp sets, and cling mounted stamp sets.
Stamp Francisco has bare rubber or wood mounted in all images.
OnyxXpressions sells individual UM images, and full plates either UM or as kits.
Kits are full plates, mounted to traditional foam cushion, and include a laser-printed cling-vinyl-coated index sheet. You receive the full plate and cut out all the images from the plate, then adhere them to the cling-vinyl indes......
Or, for a small additional charge you can have them scroll-saw cut for you before shipping.
Optional: full sheets mounted to EZMount cling cushion, w/no index; small additional charge for scroll-saw cutting.
I'm venturing into the world of UM and it is so hard to know what is what just by looking on line. I love SU wood mounted and wood mounted peroid, but there are so many beautiful sets that other companies sell that it is time I tried new products.
Thank you for putting this this together in an easy to read format for a beginner!

lol - I could have written that.
And no worries, hopefully it's easier to read now.
Our Craft Lounge - some of their sets are clear, but a lot of them are available unmounted rubber on EZ mount cling.
Elzybells - I know Amuse was already listed and they sell Elzy images, but there is also the Elzy UK site which sells a wider variety and the images are a larger size. They sell wood mounted rubber, bare rubber and a few clear sets.
Can anyone tell me if there is anyway to edit that first post then the list can be up there and easy to find instead of wading through the whole thread?
