I use a lot of dies, so am familiar with some of them, just by the color and style of the die. For instance, Spellbinder dies are instantly recognizable to me. Anna Griffin dies, as well.
Does anyone know other companies beside those two that make gold colored dies? Spellbinder dies are more a coppery color, except for their Gold Imperial line, but most companies seem to make dies in silver. Some UK companies make them in black, Like X-Cut dies, and I've seen them in turquoise and pink.
I sometimes get unmarked dies as a blog prize, and knowing where to start looking would be helpful.
Thanks!
Karen
Art Impressions dies are gold/copper in color.........just used a ton of them for my Easter cards!
Wow, how did I not know that? I have a lot of AI stamp sets, and even one or two with coordinating dies but haven't used the dies yet. The die that I'm trying to identify is a stand alone die so it doesn't look like AI but how funny that I kept thinking AI dies were silver. Love this source of information, thanks!

I just did a fast lookie-loo....I think you are right. Most dies are silver other than the brands already mentioned. I do have a black, an aqua and a purple. But not other golds.
If you have unknown dies...perhaps you could take a pic and show them to us to help you ID the mfg?
