So this morning I went and looked at one of my cards in the gallery that I had uploaded yesterday, and there were 28 comments. I was so excited. It made me feel so good. SO, I started thinking that it would be nice to make everyone feel like that -- so my challenge is to go to your most recently uploaded card, and for every comment you received on it, make a comment in the gallery. Share the love. Then everytime you upload, make this your goal. I think it will improve how some of us stampers feel about our artwork, and will be POSITIVE for the site!!!

Sounds like a good challenge... I try to comment everyday on some cards. I find at times though it amazes me how so few people comments on such beautiful cards.
Seriously -- awesome stuff in the gallery so far . . . I did all my comments. THe gallery was zipping fast too! I will probably comment some more this afternoon!!!
Well, since I just created and started uploading to my gallery today, I don't have a number to match. BUT, I do go and make comments daily! I love checking out the wonderful talent we have here! I am up for the challenge... It is a great idea!
Ha! You're work is a lot harder than mine with 28!! Although, I have to say, a very simple comment on one of mine the other day made my day.....all it said was Wow...........doesn't take much to make me happy! In all seriousness though......it is amazing how the comments can really boost your spirit, and inspire you to do more, and I've been trying to leave more comments as of lately. Thanks for starting a great thread!
Love your idea! Actually, every time someone makes a comment on one of mine, I try and reciprocate. I click on a gallery or two or three and see what is new and how many I can make!
Cool challenge!! Someone like me has to revamp your challenge though! I've uploaded 4 cards since 9/27 and have only gotten 7 comments total! No biggie, I'm not that good........but........I do love to share the love and leave comments every time I am on here!! Each day I am in awe of what I see here on SCS and want it to be known!!
Everybody needs lovin', so I'm off to the gallery to share my love with MORE then 7 others!!!!!
Just finished several comments, but I always lose track!
And I just had a thought along a slightly different line. I don't know how many different people are on this site each day. But doing a bit of simple math...there are often at least 1200 on at once (maybe mid-afternoon?) and assuming - on the low side - there are up to 1500 different members at one time or another - multiply by 5 comments each. That 7500 total would equal at least an average of 10 per new entry. I know, some cards get a lot more, but there are a lot of entries with only 1 or 2.
So it does seem like it would not be too hard to raise these totals. Sorry I have such a complicated explanation for what started to be a simple idea!

Sometimes it helps if you can give a link to your gallery in your signature line. I know I click on peoples links all the time. Sorry, I don't remember how to add it anymore. LOL

If I did it this way I'd only leave a couple of comments a week!! LOL I do like to pay it forward especially to people who have so nicely commented on my gallery. Congratulations to you with that many comments on one card. I'll have to make that a long term goal for me.
Since I love getting comments and assume most other stampers feel the same way, I try to make 5-10comments every day (I'm not a great or a particularly prolific stamper, so this more than matches the comments that are made on my cards - LOL!).
I also started to post my favorites into the "favorites of the week" thread. I would encourage everyone to look at, and contribute to, that thread every week -- it's a terrific way to catch up on great cards you might have missed and to potentially make someone's week by listing their card!
In case there is any one who missed this a few days ago. I know that for me, at least, the site was kind of up and down yesterday but seems fine this morning. There are lots of great cards again!
I've definitely made more of an effort to comment more often.
I have also done sorts on the gallery to look at the cards with the least number of views and made comments about those cards. It must be very disheartening to be new here and not have anyone comment. And we definitely have some undiscovered talent hidden in the gallery!
This is so dorky, but I am going to share anyway...
I've been dumping a pile of paperclips on my desk...some days it is 20...some its 50, just depends. I have been doing one comment per clip until they are all back in their holder....yes, I know it's silly....but I am trying. ;)
