I think this is a great idea. I use Google reader to track blogs, and I have them categoriezed according to design team...so this would be very helpful!

it depends on the company... but typically we design samples for stamp makers to use to promote their stamps... and help show customers new ways to use a specific companies stamp designs/products. Each company is unique in what they ask/expect of a design team member.
