So I was lucky enough to be in Houston when Hobby Lobby had cards and envelopes on sale and was able to get colorful envelopes instead of just white! Here in my town with only one Hobby Lobby the colors are always sold out before I can get to the store....confounding I tell ya!
Does anyone shop for envelopes in colors other than white or cream? Where to find bright colored ones?
Thanks for the help
Kathy

Reason: misspelled word
You probably just need to get more comfortable with the Envelope Punch board. It's ideal for matching the colors, and the difference between made and purchased is not that easy to notice.
Over the years I have bought some envies at The Paper Cut booth at stamping conventions. They do sell online too though. The Paper Cut
Colorful envelopes are fun sometimes, but the Postal Service prefers white or ivory, if memory serves me correctly. It's easier for them to read and sort.
I use my envelope punch board to make some wildly colorful envelopes and I use a white Avery label to write the address on so the post office won't have a fit.

Yes, I do believe you're right...that's why I always use white address labels!
Have you thought of making your own? I purchase colored copy paper and make my own. It's easy and I custom color it and make it to that particular card. I use some of the two sided tear away tape for the envelope and peel and seal when I'm ready. Colored copy paper is way cheaper then prepared envelopes. Just a thought.
I have colored envelopes, but I find I rarely use them! They never seem to match the card closely enough for me. I prefer to pretty up the back of a white or cream envelope. It doesn't interfere with the postal regulations and most everybody turns the envelope over to open it! ;)

Yes, I have made my own envelopes in the past. I have the envelope punch board, but I make a lot of cards and really don't want to have to make all the envelopes! I did just buy Neenah Creative Collection 32 lb colored paper at Office Depot for $5.99 for 48 sheets...works out to slightly over .12 cents per envelope.
When I buy envelopes at Hobby Lobby at 50% off, I get 25 envelopes for $2.50 which makes them .10 cents each...
Thank for everyone's input...guess I'll just have to keep doing what I've been doing!
