Color Ideas.....

I wanted to know some cool color combos. that are different but look awsome together! Ive seen some cards on here and I would have never thought of the color combo on my own...lol

A great place to look is on the Scraptitude web site http://www.scraptitude.com/colorcombo/. Just put in any color(s) you want to use and it will come up with lots of combos. I always look here for new ideas. HTH

sahm~stamper - two things - Stampin' Up! has a color wheel that is great. You pick a color and it gives you others that work well with it. Love that tool.
Second - on my blog on the left side I have a link to a Color Combo thingie. You pick a color and a combination will come up. It is so handy when looking for new combinations. Give it a try - let me know what you think.

Don't forget the color combo challenge here on SCS every Tuesday. I use those a lot for my color inspirations.

BTW, my favorite uncommon combo is Rose Red and Sahara Sand.

I would try complement colors
(Yellow/Purple, Blue/Orange, Red/Green)

I tend to get my color combinations from looking in Coldwater Creek catalog and other sales flyers. I find some of the best color combinations/layout and design inspirations in bedding ads. In fact, I've been CASEing pillows so much lately I'm starting pillow CASE Sunday challenge on my blog -- LOL!

Anyway, what I love about using ads and catalogs as opposed to a color wheel or the color combo web site is that sometimes I stumble on a combination that no one else has thought of or at least I haven't seen, which is really cool. Plus often I get inspired for the whole look and feel and style of a card, not just the colors.

If you don't want to look through ads on your own, you could try doing the inspiration challenge here on SCS -- basically the same thing except once a week someone locates the inspiration for you!

Laura posted on the Announcement thread that it would be shut down due to lack of time and funds to keep it going. :(
