Default Coffin box template question

Hey guys,

Have any of you tried the coffin box template from the SU! demo site? I tried it the other night, and I felt like a complete moron. I was able to tape the bottom together, but the top part doesn't have any tabs to make it stick together. Short of making my own template, which I may try later, I don't have a clue on how to put it together! Here's the template: http://www.stampinup.com/us/documents/Mummy.pdf

I just noticed that the bottom tabs kinda look like fangs! Hee!!

Thanks guys!!

Amy

I'm glad I'm not the only one who couldn't make it work! I felt like a complete idiot LOL. Hopefully I can figure it out or I'll be making my own template!

I printed the template earlier and just looked at it again. To me it looks like the long left side of the piece is a tab that you can adhere to the top of the coffin. I will have to go make on of these up now to see.

This pattern works great. Print it on your gray paper, cut it out. Then score on the dotted lines. Fold them all up and over them put adheasive on the top of the part you fold over and fold top down. The two small ends fold in and the end up like a candy box. Kind of hard to explain but try it and you will see. I made them last Halloween.

Default Thanks so much!!

Wow, it makes so much sense now! I was thinking about it completely wrong--I was picturing that the coffin lid would open, not that there was a little flap opening. It works perfectly and is super cute.

Thanks Abbysgrammy!

ok now I see it! I was looking at the thing backwards! For pity's sake and bless my heart. I think I will make one now! I have been looking at that for 20 minutes.

Hi Amy! Fancy meeting you here!

Make sure you show us what you do with that cute coffin box. I made a couple last year and did nothing but look at them.

I am trying to find the sample for this template? Where on the SU demo site is it? I got the template to print from the link mcfinny provided - but I need to see where its at on the su site. Is it web extras from the Oct stampin success?

It's under Show & Tell > Pattern Library > Boxes. It's on the 11th page.
