I've discovered the joy of clear cards. (Especially when I got a bulk package for a good price from my LSS. I don't have to worry about "wasting" an expensive card base.) I wondered if you put pieces of paper on each side of the card to keep adhesive from showing through? I have pieces on the front, then I think I should put pieces on the inside left to hide adhesive, then pieces on the right for a sentiment and signature, then paper on the back of the card to hide the other adhesive. (That was really wordy.) Is that what you do? Or do you not care about the adhesive showing? Please share.

i would think it would defeat the purpose of having a clear card if you put paper on the back to hide the adhesive. you can put a strategically placed embellishment on the back....
By clear cards, I assume you mean acetate. Am I right?
I made cards with folded acetate and a piece of card stock folded as a card on the inside. Punched two small holes in the front upper left corner and attached a ribbon to hold the acetate and card stock together. I stamped on the acetate and didn't feel it necessary to back it up with anything. If you use stickers, you can use Mrs. Grossman's stickers, they usually have stickers with flopped images that can be be used behind the acetate so you don't see the sticker back.
Have fun with you new purchase. Since it was a "deal", you can experiment and come up some really great cards!

Oh, I didn't put full sized pieces on the backs. You're right - that would defeat the purpose of a clear card. I put pieces the same size as the front pieces on the backs. Does that make sense?
Embellishments wouldn't quite hide the adhesive. I'll try to get a picture to show you.

Yes, acetate.
When I made my card, I basically treated the acetate card like I would a cardstock one. I added layers and "stuff."
Where do you get Mrs. Grossman's stickers? Online, I guess? My LSS is small.

I just adhered things in the corners with glue dots or on the back I put my handmade stamp strategicly where I was gonna put adhesive so it blended together. The back I never really worried about. If I put a colored cardstock in the middle for my sentiments I only adhered the back to the clear. If you only adhered the left hand side on the inside then all your front cover designs would hide the adhesive on the inside. I love clear cards and make them from just about anything clear. Ribbon also hides adhesive on the edges too!!

I was curious about this as well. I am thinking about making the leap into clear cards and was wondering if some of you would post pics or links so I can see what you mean.
I searched the gallery but couldn't find just what I was looking for.
I made my first all clear card on Tuesday for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge. I used designer paper with glue dots in the corners to adhere the paper to the inside front of the card. I placed Dew Drops on the front of the card where the glue dots are to cover. That gave me a lot of space to place my image and embellishments. Here's the card. Yep, that's what I've done, though I think my inside bit for the sentiment was smaller than the stamped panel on the front. Man, they are hard cards to take a good picture of, though. I've made 3 and only uploaded one that was a bit different.
