Clean and Simple (CAS) Favorites for the Week Ending October 9, 2011
Welcome to the Clean and Simple (or CAS) Favororites of the Week thread. This is our place to celebrate the CAS style by recognizing our favorite projects in the previous week's gallery uploads.
Newcomers are welcome! Please dive right in. Post links to your favorites and leave comments on those projects that others have favorited, as you are able.

JulieHRR gets merry with a krafty reindeer...check out her white shading on the kraft and the frost blue snow
superjen made excellent use of a bought embellishment by letting her bling flower stand alone
k dunbrook took fall colors to an awesome new level with her one-layer F4A85 card
biggan did the same challenge but went with a subdued, soft color palette and wonderful texture
Understandblue honored the memory of Steve Jobs with lots of white space and glitter
mocjen posted a sweetly simple and completely adorable Welcome Baby card
Benzi used embossing on kraft and black accents and stamping for a dramatic yet elegant Sew Lovely card
dini made a pretty in pink card for the HYCCT challenge that uses lovely texture, pattern, and shading in a thoroughly CAS way
limedoodle's sparkly pumpkin card leaped into my favorites all by itself
lisaadd played with two different textures and clean die-cut silhouettes on her Merriest Wishes card
Clear and Simple's Crafty Thank You is super cool and definitely one a crafter would love
star created a classic butterfly grid layout and used some absolutely gorgeous dp for her butterflies to stunning effect
alimarbles used a black base and made an absolutely perfect Halloween card
smoatsmom created an elegant thistle card with some lovely coloring and shading of her focal point

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my Canadian friends...please eat a slice of pie for me! Thank you for the CAS suggestions, Susan, here are a few others that stood out to me:
CAKath HYCCT Guy card uses color and silhouette beautifully
tlgirl353's A Day in the Snow is masked and colored beautifully.
Stampercamper's Gently Falling is well embellished yet very clean and lovely.
Understandblue did a clever and lovely take on the HYCCT Paper challenge.
Rosigrld used a lovely layout and judicious embellishment in her clean Just for You card.
sweetnsassystamps' Sweet Ducky is the loveliest of new baby cards.
Lynniepoo made two cards that inspired me - Silver & Navy Christmas and With Sympathy
EJKeaton did a lovely fall One Layer challenge card.
stampinandrea did a series of three lovely cards of which this Simply Saturday is my fave.
LALatty did some fun Birthday Circles
Milawi offered a clean and lovely Christmas Wreath
girlgeek101 was inspired by, well, Book Skins
and if you thought that I could go a week without mentioning a Biggan card, think again! Trees just floored me!

I like the unique little twist that Nancy Littrell gave [COLOR="Orange"]this card--notice the way the whole card is mounted on the mustard cardstock. Pretty and soft, too.
Ahh, thanks so much superjen and Diane (fionna51) for favoriting my CAS cards...it really means a lot because CAS is pretty difficult for me and coming from artists who excel in it, I feel like I'm finally "getting it"! (Don't cha ever just want to put an accent on every bit of white space? That's the challenge I'm working on....and getting there!)
