Clean and Simple (CAS) Favorites for the Week Ending February 20, 2011
Welcome to the Clean and Simple (or CAS for short) Favorites of the Week thread! Everyone is welcome to participate by linking to your favorite CAS projects from the past week's gallery uploads. Also, please take time to leave a comment or two as you check out these amazing CAS cards.
Here are my favorites to get us started!
StampGroover wowed me with her pretty punched valentine
vdutchr made a lovely orange and silver one-layer thinking of you card that gave me the color scheme for today's post!
gregzgurl used designer paper in an amazingly clean and simple and very creative way on her Elegant Thank You card
Milawi used her colored pencils expertly to turn her simple Flower card to CAS perfection
ddaws used gorgeous garnet ribbon on her simply brilliant Aviary CAS cards
artsy_em made a fabulous card set for a world-traveling friend who rides bikes...proof that a stamper needs all sorts of stamps to meet all sorts of needs
k dunbrook used bright blue and lots of white for her Ready, Set, Grow! card
Jennifer Styles achieved one-layer perfection with her Merry Christmas OLW card
stampinsusie made a soft and soothing--and beautifully CAS--sympathy card
sf9erfan's You Rock card is a delightful blend of CAS, collage, and grunge...sheer brilliance!
Biggan's one-layer Season's Greetings card shows her mastery of working on textured cardstock and her clean eye for design
Aimes made a simply rustic Just for You card that uses a notebook border punch to great effect
lisa lara combined a bunch of Easter sentiments and a lovely image of the cross to make her fabulously spring-y one-layer collage
hobbywoman made a beautifully soft and bejeweled butterfly for her CAS106 card
jennysbugbites made lovely white-on-white clouds to show her bright blue bird soaring through life
And now it's YOUR turn! Please show us what CAS gorgeousness we may have missed in the gallery this week.
And as always, many, many thanks to all of you who take time to share your creations--CAS or otherwise--in the gallery here. Each one of you makes this gallery the awesome place of inspiration that it is.
Here are my CAS favorites for the week!! I'm in a rush to get out the door on time, so I didn't have a chance to check to see if any of these are repeats from Susan's favs. I apologize for any repeats, folks.
Thanks for the lovely and varied CAS inspiration this week, everyone.

I've never contributed to this before, but I'm allowed, right? I hope I'm understanding CAS correctly - what I'm seeing listed as favorites each week seems to indicate that CAS is not as simple as I had originally thought. Let me know if I'm off base here.
I had a little more gallery time week and here are four that really caught my eye:
Emily, thank you for favoring not one but TWO of my cards!!! You have definitely made my day! And thank you Karen for being the awesome informant that you are Congrats to all the other crafty ladies!

Hee hee - posting at the same time as you Trish and now I need to post again to say thanks to you too! I didn't even class that one as CAS - my list of supplies seemed too long to qualify!
I just got back from travelling to Toronto and New York (my, it was cold for a mild-winter west-coaster like me!) so haven't had much gallery time this week. But here are a couple that haven't been mentioned yet that caught my eye:
Thank You, TrishG, for choosing my "Moments" card...what a treat for my Sunday morning! It's the first time one of my cards was picked as a CAS favorite!! WooHoo!
..and thanks, Karen (k dunbrook) for letting me know...I may have missed the good news!

...sure its got a catchy beat, but can you stamp to it?
life is something that happens only when you run out of cardstock

Of course, you are allowed and thank you so much for jumping in! And yes you are right on track. CAS just means clean and simple...minimal layering/product/technique and often a willingness to embrace the concept of white space. Welcome!
Trish (TrishG) thank you so much for listing my Coneflowers card among your favorites this week - I love CAS cards and always aspire to do them as well as some of the gorgeous ones I see in the gallery, so I'm delighted! Thanks, Karen, for letting me know, you're a sweetheart!
Thanks, Susan, for mentioning my thank you card, and Karen for alerting me that it was a favorite this week! I have two CAS in my faves folder this week:
