I will not stop in the middle to make a card
I will not stay on SCS all day and not get it done
I will work as fast as I can so I can stamp
I will not destroy my room once it's clean.
I will learn to clean as I go, and the I won't have that problem.
I will take the oath except that mine has to be a bit different:
Today, I must finish at least 2 swaps and 5 church birthday/anniversary cards.
I will not stay on SCS all day and not get it done
I will work as fast as I can so I can get some organizational work done in my room
I will not destroy my room once it's clean.
I will learn to clean as I go, and then I won't have that problem.

OMG! This is the major chore on my list, even though I have 3 swaps etc to get ready and would really prefer to stamp. Unfortunately, my space is so messy I don't have room. I need to get offline and busy, but found cards to upload etc. I may never get there.
I had to laugh when I saw your post, since yesterday afternoon I have been cleaning and organizing my stamp/scrap room. I can finally see the top of my desk. So now I'm going to get off SCS and FINISH what I started.
It is sooo easy to get distracted; I found some stuff that I haven't seen in a while, cuz it was buried under the "rubble", and thought about what a cute card that stamp and paper would make. But I have resisted! Thanks for the
incentive.
I'd love to take the oath, but I'm afraid I wouldn't even get past the first sentence! That's my biggest problem...I pick something up to put it away, get hit with and idea, and there's even more chaos by the time I'm done! I have to clean my stamping room with my daughter...she never lets me get off-track!

As much as I love coming to this website, that is my oath too. I'm so happy when I have a day that I get things done instead of getting on the computer.
I'm getting off right now and going to clean some more!!

Would it be cheating if I'm already in the process of cleaning? My stamping stuff has to be moved from one end of the house to the other because my DD and GS moved in with us last monh. They're sharing a room right now until my stuff can be moved, but this is proving to be a major undertaking. My DH is a wonderful person, and he's re-painting the area to which I'm moving and he even re-tiled the foor. In a way, this is fun, since I know I would never clean unless I had to. So, I'll take the oath to clean and I'll even try to keep it clean, at least for a while.
my craftroom is more organized than my bills/ file system (not much of one. But you can look at the front of my drawers in my craftroom and can tell what's in it. My DH is always getting on to me for it. Is anyone else like me?

My craft room is the only area in the house that is somewhat organized! It gets messy when I have been down there but then I go clean it up and the rest of the house just stays messy. Can you tell where my priorities are?! ;)

I love birds and don't want one to run into
a clean window and get hurt.
(I am compassionate)
2. I don't wax floors because...
I am terrified a guest will slip, hurt themselves,
I'll feel terrible and they may sue me.

3. I don't mind the dust bunnies because...
they are very good company,
I have named most of them, and they agree with everything I say.

4. I don't disturb cobwebs because...
I want every creature
to have a home of their own and my family loves spiders.

I love all the seasons and don't want the others to get jealous.

I don't want to get in God's way, he is an excellent designer.

7. I don't put things away because...
my family will never be able to find them again.

8. I don't do gourmet meals when I entertain because...

I choose to believe them when
they say "Permanent Press".

Yes, I HAVE been on SCS just about all day.
Organizational work? What WAS I thinking!
My room is already destroyed so, what's a little more clutter!
Clean as I go? DH could only hope and my mom would turn over in her grave if that ever happened.
Sigh....However, in my defense (sort of) I canned 8 pints of salsa, 2 quarts and 2 1/2 pints of tomato juice this morning - not to mention the 12 quarts of tomatoes, and eight 1/2 pints of salsa Thursday night and last night.
I really, really want to stamp. Can someone help me???

I am sorry you are too tired to clean. Besides who says you have to clean?? Or if you do you can do it the way I do - stop by walmart and put large rubbermaid container....go home and unpack the other $100 worth of stuff and then fill container with any and everything that has been in your way! All clean....;)
Just kiddin - I only do that with all the paper that stacks up somehow I can not control the paper in my house!

My stamping has overtaken my computer desk. It started with about 20 stamp sets and now I'm close to 50. All of which are still stacked on the computer desk...I mean to clean it everyday and put some with my other supplies in the basement but then I won't remember what is down there. I gotta get the dh to build me a stamp room downstairs. Then he can get the drawer he has always wanted near the computer
I'm amazed - I actually did organize my basement stampin' area today. We set up a arts & craft area for my 6 year old. So it gave me the opportunity to work on my area.
I would love to clean my craft room, but there is some stuff I need out of there to make more room (old artificial x-mas tree that's broken and husband's friend's 2 arcade games). My room is so messy it's not even funny. I guess I'll have to ask Santa Claus to help me with this. lol
seriously...i can't stay away. i've been trying to stay about an hour..go do stuff come back..catch up..repeat as needed. but mostly...i'm here and venture off for 15-20 minutes..

My plan all week was that this weekend I was going to clean up my stamping room. Well I haven't even ventured down there. I have been on this site several times this weekend, but am using a different computer so as to avoid going down there. I like the idea of using a big container to put everything in and starting over! Then at least I could do some stamping. I could start afresh, putting eveything away as I am finished with it - really!
I did it, cleaned that is. Stuff was stacked high, cause I hadn't put things away from vacation. Did some reorganizing too. There was a thread about storing the sheets of tags - mine have been buried in my paper stack after I used a few. So, I punched them out and put them in snack size zip locks and cut a black piece of cardstock to fit the bag inside to provide a background to see them better. Now they are separated by color and size.
But.....can't do the oath, no, no, no. I'm a messy stamper and I look forward to making another big mess.
