Default Christmas Card Brain Cramp...

Hiya! I'm brand spankin' new to this but am lovin' the gallery for ideas. I have a dilema!!! I am making Christmas cards to donate to a silent auction to raise money for a local charity. I have yet to create one that has that "wow" factor. The Christmas sets I have to work with are from Stampin' Up (Merry Merry, Flakey Friends, So Many Scallops & Greatest Gift). I love embelishments with ribbon, brads, eyeletts and heat embossing. Does anyone out there have some ideas to help me get that "wow" factor out of my card? Any suggestions would be fantastic!!

Have you looked in the gallery for ideas? I get most of my inspiration from there. Good luck and post a pic when you are done.

I would suggest using some kind of glitter with the Flakey Friends set and maybe coloring the hats, mitts and scarfs to give a little color to the scene. You could maybe use one or two layer of matting as well and add ribbon to one of the layers. If you have a cuttlebug and the snowflake folder you could do your base card with this to give some background effect. I am also going to pm you with some ideas.

Glitter.........oh the snow with glitter is wonderful.
I would also do some layering......with dp and also cut out like detailed
parts of the stamped image.

Also do something matching on the envelopes!

Lord Bless you,
Lori

The gallery is a great resource for ideas and many images list the techniques, colours and embellishments they use. There are galleries for each set here.
