I posted a question last night about chipboard coasters, but, forgot where I posted it. I bought a bunch to make calendar's, but, I only found one submisson in the gallery. Is there somewhere else these might be, also idea's for the extra coasters? With a bunch of people buying 100's of them, there must be something they are doing with them. I need all the help I can get.
Thanks!!!!
you can make little scrapbooks with them. or accordian albums, calenders. attach them to your pages. got to the gallery and do a search for chipboard coasters and they will pop up.

If they're the 4" square ones, you can actually fit 4 of the Cuttlebug 2" dies per coaster, and fun 'em through your die cutting machine!
That's mostly what I've been doing with mine--I haven't even tried to do anything else with 'em . . . yet . . . But, I got an extra 200 a few weeks ago for when I figure sumpin' else out . . .

I have almost gone through my first 100. I have made chipboard calendars, chipboard mini-albums, photo frames, and coaster boxes. 100 of these little suckers actually go quite fast and am glad I have another 100 or so to play with. I don't have a die cutting machine yet so that is the next thing to try out!

I made an awesome coaster box (with 5) and plan to make another. I also made a frame, with faux hinges, using 2 coasters- but then I had a open house and lots of people made frames so thats where most of my coasters went.
I think that the newest tutorial uses them as squash book covers.
I don't know how to attatch a picture here but, I got a RAK from my dear friend with the coasters I sent her. Theres a picture in my gallery. I'm thinking these would make awesome christmas gifts. I know its early but, if I do it then I have to start now.

Send them to me...I haven't been to Outback! HA! I'll bet once you get started, you'll find plenty to do with them. Look at the gallery, and you'll find tons to do with them.

You can use an anywhere hole punch--just might take a little extra pounding with the hammer, UKWIM? Make sure you are working on cutting mat or board to protect your work surface.
You could also use a hand-held punch, if you have enough strength and the coaster material is medium to light weight. I dunno that they go through heavy weight all that well . . .

I tried this but it was really hard to crank. It started to die cut them but I didn't want to force it through and break my bug. Is it hard to crank through with the chipboard in it?

Does anyone have instructions for the chipboard box? I understand how to attach the sides, but how is the bottom attached?
I actually punch two holes on either side of each corner of the bottom coaster and thread the ribbon up through the bottom. I like that the bottom is not glued down and I can totally disassemble the box for storage

I used a Regular Hole punch to punch out the holes on my Chipboard Coasters. That's all I have other than my Click it tool. And I haven't try that yet.
Here is what I have done with my chipboard coasters:

Hi, Gail!
FYI: you 'bump' just by posting a reply. People usually just type 'bump', cuz it's fast and easy.
I would recommend you get the cropodile. Don't have one myself, but my friend does! What I use when I don't have hers, is a leather hole puncher. It looks like this: click! Now, I know that's not a common household tool! LOL
I'd like to hear what others without a Crop-o-dile use.
Oh, and my LSS (local scrapbook/stamp store) in Selkirk has a crop-o-dile, so I sometimes use the one there when I go over to use their crop area. Their a small charge to crop in their area, but it's worth it!
I'm from Norway so please excuse me if I spell wrong or use words that arent exactly right
Can someone please explain how to make the boxes made of coasters? I have looked at all the beautiful samples. I can see how the four coasters are attached, but what about the one in the bottom of the box? Do you glue? And if you do...., what kind of glue do you recomend? Hope you understood my question........
