Depending on how far you want to drive, here's a list of the stores I've visited. I haven't been to these stores in over a year but they're still active online:

CraftFancy: Small store in Arlington Heights. 3/4th scrapbooking and 1/4 stamping. LOTS of dies, especially Memory Box.

CraftFancy | Chicagoland's Premier Paper Crafting Store!

Hannah's: About an hour north of Chicago, almost to the Wisconsin border. Not just a stamp/scrapbooking store, has home decor, clothes, jewelry. LOTS OF KITS! I'd say 5/8ths scrapbooking, 3/8ths stamping.

Hannah's ? Hannah's

Stamp, Scrap N More: MY FAVORITE Chicago area store. About 30 min. northwest of Chicago. Lots of stamps and some scrapbooking.

Stamp, Scrap n' More

StampThyme: About 45 min. southwest of Chicago. Nice store but needs a little updating. I'd say it's most stamping store out of all of them. The one thing I don't like is they're only open Thurs., Fri., and Sat.

If you're on Facebook, there's a group called "Traveling Crafters." They have a file that lists a bunch of stores for each state. You might check them out.
