Hi All,
I know some people have created various charts to match SU colors up to things like Copics. I find that one enormously helpful. Does anyone know if there's a chart doing that with Distress Inks and/or Distress Oxides? Thanks!

Try this one. My friend created it and she feels these colors are a close match. Hopefully this opens well as I was trying to save it in a format that would open.

This does not include current In Colors.
THANK YOU so much! I don't SU supplies so it's hard for me to color match just using the computer screen. This will be SUPER helpful.
Thank you so much! My SU demo started zoom classes and I don't have very many SU inks. This will save me a lot of time trying to find matching inks.
Sitka, if you use COPICS, here's a link to a great color match chart that was posted in another thread by Fionna51 about matching SU inks to Copics. You will find the pdf link in the top right column. Good luck with your classes.

Thank you. When we met at my demo's house it was never a problem LOL
Hi,
I can't seem to download or see the chart that is attached this thread. I'm looking for something that compares Distress to SU color inks. If you can help, I'd appreciate it.

Not sure why it will not work for you. My friend created it and I saved it as a PDF so it would be easy for most to download. Do you need a different format? I will do my best.
I tried PM but can't attach this file. If you cannot read a PDF, what type of file can you read? I chose PDF because most people can read it or download it. Other people have had no problem, so I know it isn't the file. I am limited on the type of file I can create and attach, so PDF is the easiest. Possibly ask in the portion of the forum where you can ask for help. It is very near the bottom of the forum.
I can read PDF, but every time I try to download the file, it asks me to login when I'm already logged in. Once I also got a message that the file had an error in it. I don't know what the problem is. Can you possibly save the file with a new name and attach it again? Who knows if there's something that might change.
I tried to download again and this is the error message I got.Adobe Acrobat could not open 'Distress inks2 (1).pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).
To create an Adobe PDF document, go to the source application. Then choose Save as Adobe PDF from the PDF dropdown in the Print dialog.
I saved it again. The original file is imported into Excel, so I saved it as a PDF in Excel. Hopefully you can open it. If not, an expert needs to help.
I downloaded the files but I keep getting a message that says unable to open. The only way I can open them as if I email it to myself and then open it. I'm not sure why that works but it does
My Distress ink chart may help. It has a lot of companies, not just SU, that match ink and paper.
Quick question on our chart: I think I figured out most of your initials for the various companies, what which ink/company is OXIDE RGB? Obviously, I don't have any of I would recognize it, but I am curious. Thanks. And thanks again for the chart.

It stands for "Red Green Blue." RGBrefers to three hues of ink that can be mixed together to create different colors. This is the code you can put into a program like Word to be able to print the same color.
Oxide is for RGB codes for Distress Oxide inks. Oxides are my favorite right now but I haven't been finding them ..boo hoo

Thanks. I use Word but never learned this trick. Definitely something I need to explore as I am often frustrated with not being able to get the exact color I want. So helpful. Thanks a bunch.
Your chart is wonderful--but it is 24 pages long in a pdf. I would like to print it out to have a hard copy to refer to. Is there any way to put it in an excel format, so it is just the words and no additional space? I am guessing the format it is in can be used for swatching, but I would love just the file to print. Thanks in advance if you are able to add that file.

It's an inventory formatted for my 6x8 binder and it's not an easy conversion to Excel because of the way I formatted it. Maybe you can find another source as I'm not going to do that much work for something I'll never use.
Thanks for the reply. Maybe someone else does have it in a format that is easier to print.
if you are looking for matches between Stampin Up and Distress/Oxide inks, lovinpaper shared a chart in the second post of this thread. If you are looking for Copics match up, there’s a separate thread in the forum, but I can send you that link if you need it. I have not yet seen any chart as comprehensive as Stamphappy’s but you can find individual charts that are more condensed. Good luck.
Thanks-- would love to find a list as complete as the one posted, so I will just cross my fingers ..........

I could format the pdf to print two pages on each page, but the print is very small. I couldn't figure out how to change the margins and enlarge the printed area, but perhaps someone else can.
However, Google led me to several services that can convert a pdf to Word or Excel, even one that is free using Adobe's cloud. I'm attaching the chart in Excel -- I have fiddled with the pagination enough to get it to 10 pages, albeit with minuscule print; maybe you can work with it from there.
