Oh darn it! The picture of the new dog set won't enlarge for me. Keeps bringing up a different page. The circle cutter sounds like it might be a good value. And I love that tree set on Dina's link, with the tire swing and different additions. I can see having fun with that one.

More catalog details from a new website

Some cute L1 hostess sets: One is a little 4 stamp set about food. A donut that says ‘donut be sad’ and a milk carton that says ‘feeling sick? milk it”

Another one has a pretty monarch butterfly, which we haven’t had in a while that will be nice.

A Happy Heart from our current mini made it in here!

A nice set for Independence Day

Only 4 Christmas sets but this is the Summer catalog

Remember the tall stamps we had? Nice and Narrow from a few years ago? They have a set of 4 that are cute and tall, a stocking, vase, cake and tree with a little bird

One of my FAVORITES is a Tool set! A little whimisical but not too much, kinda manly, open line so you can color. A tape measure that says “love beyond measure’ for example…great guy set!

A 50’s type coffee set - cute mugs ‘enjoy life, sip by sip’

A french like set with a little poodle, shoes and a Coco Chanel quote about being classy and fabulous. There is a coordinating wheel with shoes and purses.

A cute little quilt set ‘may your bobbin always be full’

A bridal shower or wedding set - paisley cake and dress - hard to describe this one!

A solid frog set with a little lily pad, fly….

A new home set and words for a housewarming party!

Baby shower invite set, cutesy, has a bib and teddy bear, little rabbit

Lots of Fairy tale type stamps and greetings - I see lots of scrapbook pages for Disney, etc…

man’s best friend - solid dogs, quirky, fire hydrant, weiner dog, scottie, chihuaha, and not sure but maybe a bigger dog like a lab?

Sporting set with mvp, champ, all star, go team….

Surfing set - for boys or teens with surf board and wave

Lots of solid, whimsical birds. Same shape as little birdie told me but they are solid and have seperate legs, beaks, flowers,… cute wheels with trees to match

Asian birds and branches…very pretty

Ocean set- angel fish, seahorse - more realistic

Love this one - a bare tree with accessories like a tire swing, bird, birdhouse….

A few botanical sets - open lines to color and with veins, pretty. Goes well with lovely as a tree - same style

Okay, cookie break and now I’m on page 103~!

A canoe, jeep, bike - think traveling.. cartoony….on the same page as our current Under the Stars with the bear…same style

Big manhatten flower that matches the Manhattan Decor Elements (vinyl wall things) Wait til you see the matching sizzix embossing die for this, too!

You know our current Frames with a Flourish? There is another one that has 3 frames and they are bigger! Really nice. One of them punches out the inside of frame with the 1 3/4 circle!

A card game set of 3 that look like playing cards! a joker that says ‘you make me laugh’ and a king and a queen…. fun!

A jumbo wheel with musical instruments! violin, flute, horns….with swirls and more - artsy. There is a matching set with a cello maybe? Same page as the Illuminations set - same style

Greek column-ish set with roman sketches

Another set similiar to Genuine Article…

BIG Background stamps:

a graffiti stamp with a style like Seriously or Too Cool

stripes, solid and varying in size

not much new there since they added a ton of Sizzix texture plates…

Greetings:

a nice hope set ‘hope happens” and quotes about courage

3 little words….love this one. ‘ I miss you’ and ‘ so very sorry’ You get the idea - set of 8

A new announcement set: Save the date, You’re invited…very nice and classy

New Alphabet - a varsity type one that looks just like the letters on a letterman’s jacket!

Personalized stamps are the same

Accessories!

Ink pads went up in price to 5.95, paper is the same. Craft pads went up to 7.50.

Designer paper is awesome as always! cherries on black paper and another one that is black with white polka dots.

The pink flamingo dsp is a must have, esp for us Floridian! Very bright with coral and turquoise

Bella papers with vanilla, kraft and not quite navy - different but I think I like it!

Another Urban paper set with a black background and kiwi leaves

Simply Scrappin kits:

A cute boy kit with frogs and a turtle

A Love set that coordinates with A happy Heart, pinks and brown and saffron

Some bella sets and more flowers

Simply Sent Card kits - 2 new ones

One set of Rub Ons has multiple colors !

Jumbo brads in neutral assortments

Clear rhinestone brads! All by themselves instead of in a Pretties kit! 84 in a pack, 10.95

Cute flower enamel brads in 4 colors

Corduroy buttons - gotta feel ‘em, so great! 6 colors sold individually, 3 sizes in each pack of 24

Bigger library clips

Crochet flowers in pink pirouette, riding hood red, and white. Honestly looks like someone sat down and crocheted these! 12 in a pack

Ribbons!

Multi packs of originals with orange rick rack, polka dots….

Organza is back! In white, narrow

New Sticky die cuts in flowers and full sheets of 12 x 12

My FAV - new fine glitters in chocolate, olive….love it!

New punches! Scallop edge like our current one but looks like an eyelet border, 3 heart punch and a big heart punch

Albums - brought back 8-1/2 x 8-1/2 in natural linen. We have 12 x 12 linen albums.

New Circle cutter with a glass mat, sold seperately. I tried it - works easy! Made for us by Cutterbee I hear

Decor Elements is off the charts cool! Wait til you see the new brochure!

Sizzix dies - I really like that they put Stampin’ Up in the name of the die if it is our exclusive die so we know. LOTS on new ones! A rolodex, one that coordinates with Curly label punch, the butterfly on the front of our current catalog, and OVALS! Lots of layering with 3 sizes of ovals and another one with a scallop around it. Kind of like Nestabilities…

Texturz Plates! Set of 3 ,double sided for 6 dry embossed designs!! some coordinate with our current sets like Baroque Motif…gonna be really fun! No sizes are listed but we think these are big and cover a whole card size!

5 little embosslits…

Under $10 page has 2 note card kits - very nice gifts.

Also 8 Individually sold stamps are great greetings and images that are only one stamp. 5.95-7.95

This is all from
http://lindastamps.wordpress.com/

enjoy!

My wife Rebecca is at leadership in orlando and seems to be having a great time so far. She sent me a quick email me last night and said this about the new Stampin Up 2009 catalog: "The catalog is the most phenomenal one yet, revolutionary even, I dare say."

I can't wait to see it!

I almost went with her but got too busy at work. So I am sitting in cold Boston, everything is covered in ice and she is within 5 miles of Mickey Mouse, who I am sure is wearing shorts.

Rebecca mentioned that she will be keeping her customers updated on leadership news on her blog. I have not looked though and need to get back to work.

Happy Stamping,

Daniel

Did you see the post about SU! adding a digi software?

I'm excited about it. I think it would be really neat and amw ondering if you'll be able to get some of their images digitally too? Or what kind of elements will be included into the software....

Can't wait for more info!

Daniel I am in Orlando and while it is warmer than Boston it is chilly down here. I wore gloves this morning while I was outside getting children out of cars at school.

Hope they are all having fun.

You can probably find the circle cutter at Michaels or ACMoore and use a 40% coupon on it. It's made by EK Success and from what I can see is exactly the same. I have had one for about a year, mine is pink. It works pretty well but the only thing I don't like about it is that you have to use such a large piece of paper so that the cutter edges are on the paper or else the paper will slide when you cut it. Or you can tape the smaller piece to the table - and that doesn't always work.

Talking I'm so excited!!!

Wow!! This thread is AWESOME!!!! TFS!!

I am SOOOO excited! I am hosting my first SU! party (I've been to 2, just never hosted before) next Friday and we will be using the new catty - of course we can't place our orders til the 19th, but still.

Did anyone notice on one of Dina's pages the Lovely as a Tree set is going to increase to $32.95? It's really tiny and I want to make sure I'm not mis-reading it.

I need to go make a beer run, but I will definitely be back later to finish reading all about the sneak peeks! Woohoo!

Oooh the sneak peek did not have me excited at all but these peeks have me super excited!!

I'm becoming a demo on 2/1 (for SAB $47.95 free set from catty) and I *thought* I knew what I wanted from the current catty. Well I'm going back to the drawing board as soon as I get a catty and will be ordering all my starter kit from the new catty!

Thanks for all the links and thanks to the bloggers for the tasty tidbits!

Oohhh, good point/question! Anyone else know if it's Canadian pricing? I'm only curious b/c I've been trying to resist buying it, but if I can get it now for less... well, then I may just have to give in to temptation!

I don't know if you all have seen this already but a little googling led me to this blog by a Canadian:

http://lifeasleanne.blogspot.com

Be forewarned: She has tons of photos.

I don't know if there are big differences between the Canadian and US catalogs, just thought I'd pass along the info ;)

Yes they do! Our dollar is currently approximately 20 cents less than yours...in the summer, when it was on par, they had to adjust prices to reflect that. Must be a pain for the folks at SU!

Thank you to everyone who helped clarify the higher price... now I can save my money for SAB. hehehe

8 degrees?! Wow... I so do not miss that kind of weather!!!!!!! (Okay, I lie, I do miss it sometimes!) I always thought I liked snow 'til I went to PSU and found out that up north life carries on and you have to go to class in the snow! In NC (where I've lived for almost 15 years), they mention the word snow in a weather forecast, and schools are already being delayed/cancelled. It's quite amusing. Anywho... Stay warm!!!!

How fun to look at the senak peeks. Some cool new products.

Does anyone else think about the "Partridge Family" when they look at the bird in the Good Friends set?
