Me, too (or me, three? or me, four?) Would love to see some CAS challenges! I especially love the "theme-y" challenges like they have during VSNs-i.e. "make a card based on your favorite movie" or "make a masculine birthday card" etc
Thank you so much for mentioning my card. The highlight of my day.
And thank you to Susan (LateBlossom) for starting this thread. It has been a real motivation for me to do more stamping this week and actually post something.

I received a PM about a possible idea. How much interest do you think there would be for a weekly CAS challenge? One week may be a color challenge, the next may be an inspiration challenge, and maybe a sketch and a super easy, quick technique on some weeks.
I love the idea of this thread. It's so refreshing to see examples of CAS cards and I think they should be highlighted more. I would think there is enough diversity of people and styles on this site that there should be room for both Favorites threads.
Here are a few cards that I'd like to share that I think haven't been listed yet.
Here's a cute card I saw that was posted on the 7th. dotted valentine
I didn't see a thread for this week.
By the way, Thanks for starting this CAS appreciation thread. Awesome!
BTT since I found this on page 3. So excited to go try the first CAS challenge. Thank you so much for getting this started.

I have a question about this. How come Susan isn't heading this up when it was her idea in the first place? I'm not trying to make problems. I just want to know why. Doesn't she deserve the credit for it?

Nope, I don't deserve credit for it at all because it wasn't my idea! ;) I had never participated in a challenge before Miss Boo did the limited supply CAS challenge last week, and honestly I wouldn't even know where to start something like that or want the pressure of coming up with something regularly. Today's challenge was so much fun and in a million years I couldn't have come up with it!
Miss Boo (Jen) was even nice enough to send me a pm before she posted that limited supply challenge thanking me for giving her the idea. When she proposed the idea for a regular CAS challenge, I thought it was great and told her she should do it. I even posted the first card to it today.
I'm quite happy to start the CAS favorites thread each week...starting threads is something I CAN do, LOL! Though if someone beats me to the punch, that'll be just fine.
I'm just glad so many people are feeling enthusiastic and energized about CAS and are happy to celebrate our minimalist approach. On a site this big, with this much incredible talent, it's so easy for simple stuff to get lost, and I'm thrilled that people who haven't posted before or who haven't felt their stuff was "good enough" are seeing their own work differently now and feeling prouder and more confident.
Can you tell I secretly wanted to be a cheerleader in high school? Go, CAS, Go!
Okay, this makes sense. I've been out of the loop for 2 weeks with this ice storm. I just remember reading the very first thread about all of this and why the CAS cards weren't mentioned at all, which by the way was very brave of you to start, considering. I'm looking at a lot more CAS galleries and they're awesome and I believe that where true talent lies where your simple concept on paper comes to life rather than the stuff. Great job Susan.

Uh... I'm not quite sure what made you think this. I started the CAS challenge in the Limited Supply challenge 2 weeks ago. I received a PM from a CAS maker asking me if I could start a new challenge. I think I'm also the one that suggested that we have a separate favorites thread and there was a lot of support for Susan to do that. And I'm thrilled she did. Susan started the thread in general stamping asking people to show their CAS cards and the idea for the CAS challenge in the LSC started from there.
I miss being a challenge hostess and I really want to do this. And I also made a way for others to participate in helping with the challenges. This is explained on post #10 of the first weekly challenge.

We must have been responding at the same time. Thanks Susan. I was feeling really, I don't know. But thank you for responding.

I hope life is getting back to normal for all you folks in KY. ((((hugs))))) I have a girlfriend whose power was out for four days...she was about to go crazy and leave to stay with family in Indiana when it finally came on...hopefully for good! We had it bad because of the hurricane last September. You might get a laugh from my blog about the experience!
Anyway, I hope you can play with some paper and ink soon and post some cards!
Miss Boo...Jen...
Thank you for starting a CAS challenge. I hope to get to play it. I am glad to see you are back.
Lateblossom...Susan...
Thank you for this thread. I enjoy looking at the CAS cards.
The CAS cards are going to be a challenge for me because I always feel like the cards need more embellishments, dp, etc. : ) Once again, thank you Jen and Susan.

This is what this site should be about! Well said!
