Thanks for posting her address again.....put in on file.

Last time I talked to Diane, she wanted the mailed after Sept 1st, to be received by October 1st.
BJBooth - how wonderful of you to do this! I think that you should be able to get them to Diane in time. I hope you have as much fun doing this as I have.
I found a stash of Christmas paper, so I am making more up this weekend, and I'll send them on Tuesday.

Happily giving you an update
Diane Armstrong just sent me an update on how the project is coming, and asked me to update all of you. The numbers are climbing! From her note, you can see that she has set a final cut off date of October 3rd. Mine went in the mail to her yesterday. I sure enjoyed making them in the 4 x 6 format. And once I figured out that I could make 8 out of 1 piece of 12 x 12, mounting that on 4 x 6 cardstock, it went faster. I just picked up some clearance Christmas background from my LSS. Then I added a stamped image as a focal point, and a greeting along the bottom, and I was done. Next year I am going to print the message, signature and "to any Canadian soldier" on plain paper and adhere that to the back of my piece (I think) Then all I have to do is sign it.
Anyway, just another Thank You to everyone who has participated. I will update when I hear more from Dianne.

Regarding blank cards for Canadian soldiers to use:
I may be way too late for this thread, but here goes-
Two military wives in Shilo, Manitoba have started a campaign. I recently discovered it and will be participating. The website is acardforhome.com. They have contact e-mails, how to design a card and even how to organize a "cardaganza".
If there's anybody in the Edmonton, Alberta area that would like to contribute, let me know. I am helping to organize a box to be sent to them.
I'm planning on sending the box when it's full, I guess. I don't think they were specific in the website as to when they wanted the cards; I think it's an ongoing thing. I will continue to send to them as long as I receive cards, too.
I am well on my way to collecting blank cards to send to our Canadian soldiers. I am inviting any or all Canadian SCS'ers to contribute 1, 2, 5 or 10 (or more?) cards to our military. Please reply to this post and I will send you my address. I will collect until the box is full, send it off to Manitoba, then start another box - in other words - keep them coming.
What a great idea!! I just contributed a bunch, and so am building up more and can maybe give some later. I just wanted to suggest you starting your own thread. I think that with your message being on the third page of this one, people might not notice it and may not read this far to find it.
Good luck and thank you for all your hard work!!
