I'd suggest going to the sketch challenges in the weekly challenge forum {here} JennD also has a bunch of "challenge" sketch sites posted on her right side bar. Her site is http://igotstamps.com
One that I really like -- from January 2007 -- is SC105.
Some of the examples in the SC105 Gallery are pretty elaborate. But the don't have to be. If you have a circle cutter, it's pretty fast to cut a bunch of them from decorator paper.
Looking back, I think that I should make a few more of this one.
I like the downloads at www.sheetload.blogspot.com because they give you exact quantities and cutting layouts needed for a group of cards. Some issues are 12, some are 8, some are 6.
The 11/07 one goes really quickly and makes 12 card fronts.
