Question Can you use ATG tape in large desktop tape dispenser?

Does anyone use the double sided ATG tape in a large desktop tape dispenser? I just ordered a large tape dispenser that can hold 1' or 3" cored tape, and I noticed the tape they sell at TapeDepost says it is 1" core. I like using the double sided tape, but was looking for a more affordable method of using it. I like the Scotch 3m double sided tape, but am going through it like crazy. Just wondered if anyone used it this way.

Default atg tape in dispenser

I tried..its not the core size but the diameter of the whole role of tape- wouldnt fit.
It is also a huge pain to have to cut, push the tape down, peel off the paper.
I have seen the pink atg guns on amazon for $16.00..I got mine at joanns for $20
It is worth the investment of the gun and tape. best thing I ever did

I broke down and ordered an ATG. I hope I like it, and won't have trouble learning to use it. I hated to spend the $, but the adhesive tape for it is so much cheaper than buying individual tape runners or disposable dispensers. I'm using a 900" roll of double sided Scotch tape with my tape dispenser I have now. It works pretty good. When I get the other regular tape dispenser, I am going to put my roll of Magic tape on it, and that way both my double-sided and magic tape will have their own dispensers. I love using Magic tape to hold my paper still when I am using rubons or embossing. Saw the way some of the users on YouTube decorated their ATG's; so cute! Maybe I can use some of my leftover blocks from stamps I unblocked to make me an ATG holder. If I don't have trouble learning to use it, it will definately help on all the larger pieces of paper that get glued down; that takes a ton of adhesive.
