I use both very regularly for scrapping and for stamping, but here's a tip:
Decide how much you want to spend on "supplies" for each of these.
The Xyron 900 will take you awhile before you need refills (I think it comes with a 40 ft roll?). So, you can use it for a lot of projects before spending more money.
The Sizzix is great, but is useless unless you buy the die cuts with it. So, right away you need to spend more money on supplies before you can use it.
My $0.02 : Figure out how much you can spend right away and make your decision from that.
I love my Sizzex machine and use it a lot for scrapping. I love using the tag diecuts and there's a new one out called bookplates that I am using a lot, too. I can't tell you much about the Xyron except that I have the 510 model and hardly ever use it. My advice would be to get the Sizzex.
I have the sizzix machine & the sidekick. 5 alphabets plus odds and ends in the dies. I have the xyron 500 and the 210(?) plus the little X one. I wouldbuy the sizzix in a heart beat again. For me I use it way more for the scrapbooking. I would get the xyron machine again I use it with my alphabets. HTH. either way you get a deal.

How about you get a second 50% off coupon and get both. Just go into the store twice, or if you leave close to a JoAnn's Etc. you can use the Michaels coupon there too. They both take the others coupons. I have a neighor who saves her coupons for me cause she never uses them. That way I always have two. And funny I always seem to find something to use them on and wish I had more. Good Luck
I would do a little research on the Sizzix as I am looking into a die cut machine too...I have heard of the Wizard and Zipemate which will allow you to use a variety of different companies dies and brass templates...just starting looking though so am not to sure yet as to all the details.

here is a cooky plan. find yourself an Angel company demo. They carry Sizzix. buy that through them. It makes a party all in itself. Then you get a 50% item for your party. Use it for your alphabet. and buy the xzyron from micheals. its a win win situation. course for me it would be a several month process of saving the $. hth.
Can only buy one...Xyron or Sizzix??
