So, I have a Scor Pal, but I have been looking at the new version. I like the fact that it has more of the 1/8 markings. Has anyone else upgraded? Was it worth it?
I would like to hear others opionions on this as well. Right now I just can't get myself to spend the money on a tool I already have in a different version -- but everytime I use my ScorePal I think, "if only they had an other line here, or here." Please, if anyone has the new version (or both verions) let us know what you think.

I decided to get the Martha Stewart scoreboard with a 50% coupon at Mikes - only about $10 bucks.
I use the Score Pal for making most of my cards, and usually for boxes because I like the placement of the grooves for that purpose.
I use the MS board with its nifty included envelope template for making envelopes from pattern paper, and also love it for making the paper medallions, where I use the 1/8" score lines.

So, what are you doing with your older version, letting it collect dust? I'd like the newer version too, but can't justify having two of the same item.
Thank you for asking this question! I am a first grade teacher and I fully intend on buying the new one very soon. I'm planning on bringing my older one to school for projects there. Is there a place such as an elementary school that you could donate it? Give/sell to a friend?

Me too! I like the ScorPal better for cards, it seems to make nicer score lines. But I absolutely love the MS Scorboard for making envies!

At the risk of sounding like I'm off my rocker...
I have....
A Score-it (which I won)
The original Score-Pal
The MS version
And last but not least a couple of weeks ago I bought the mini Score-Pal because I got tired of lugging the big one to crops.
I won the Score-it at a crop when it first came out. I had no idea what it was and wasn't even sure I wanted it until people started offering me cash to "take it off my hands". I figured I better keep it.
I use all of them for different things. I do mostly cards but the MS board gets pulled out for 3-D projects, the Score-Pal for my cards and the Score-it when I want a really deep crease - say for a border or on metallic card-stock.
My name is Margaret - I think I have a problem. LOL.
