Default Which brayer roller do you use to ink stamps?

Do you use the rubber roller or the foam roller on your brayer to ink up your big stamps? Thanks!

Default that explains a lot

I was just reading a post somewhere--and everyone was hating having to clean their brayer, cause it was so hard to clean, and I think they were using the black foam roller..they talked about squeezing it out, until the water ran clean..I was under the impression that we were supposed to use the tan rubber one...that must be so much easier to clean than the black one...am I right?? set me straight, please!! I use the rubber one. I just spritz stampin' mist on a paper towel and just wipe it off. It works great for me... though I don't know hoe it would work for black ink.

Yeah, I have never used my rubber brayer with Classic Black. I am afraid it would stain it. I don't have any stazon cleaner so I wouldn't know if it worked. I guess anything is worth a shot!

StazOn cleaner is just like oil. I have used olive oil or canola oil...just a fingertip or two full & it works great.

The foam roller (the one you need to squeeze clean) is used with the plaidmaker. The other rollers don't work as well between the lines on the plaidmaker. The foam roller "smooshes" down into between the lines to give a clean look. They are probably referencing this.

I personally have 2 foam rollers - that way I can use 2 colors with my plaidmaker and not need to clean until I am done with my project or need 2 new colors.

I have all of the rollers for my brayer - I am using the tan one tonight to use with my Spectrum pad. Of course, this may change since I haven't created the project yet. I may need to use the black rubber roller if it doesn't work. We'll see.
