While we are on the subject, what does mean? I've been squinting to see if it is an image, but either I am particularly dense (quite possible) or I don't get it.

Ally, those are some errors people have been seeing when they try to post comments in the gallery...I know that more than one of my comments has ended up like that, so I just go back and fix it or post again!
Art is intended to provoke an emotion from a total stranger. If youve succeeded in this, consider yourself an artist. Paper Shanks Blog. Love me or hate me, you are still talking about me
I still don't understand what that means. What's dibs?

Joan, you obviously don't have any siblings! When you're with someone else, usually a sib or a really good friend, and you both spot one of something that you both want, the first to call "DIBS!" gets it. Applies to anything there is only one of. Like a cupcake, last piece of pie, last cool pair of shoes on sale, . . .
As for Blue Rule, I thought it meant something like "Cats rule, dogs drool." Now, me, I'd be a "PINK RULE" kinda gal.

You got it Joan! How did you know - I come from a family of 5 - we laid out favorite colors early with the kids.....
Pink, Green.....my 3rd DD loves blue - "just like you Mommy!". Don't know what the boy likes - he adores blue too - but we cannot have the bickering! He may need to go to red....And the baby - still to be determined!!
I love celery. I has been on almost every card I've made since the new catty (except for color challenges;)). Unfortunately Julie has already called it so I call Rose rule for me.
Location: I'm in the secret sister protection program.

That's so funny. I have 4 DS's and they each have a color. Mostly we stick to it. I started it with towels, so they each have their own color that way I know who threw them on the floor. Plus each kid has a matching peg to hang the towel on in the bathroom. My oldest DS has red because his hair was red. DS #2 picked green when he was 3, DS#3 ended up with blue, but later on they switched. DS #4 by default got yellow, then claimed orange as well because he's the last and can have more than one color. LOL Now the colorizing applies to almost everything. DS #3 went so far as to wear only green shirts.
This is funny that it popped back up again, and I find it interesting that so many have no idea about the *rule* or *dibs*, do you know *jinx,* or is that new to some as well?
jinx is when 2 people say the same thing at the same time, whoever calls jinx is the winner and the other has to stay mum until a designated time is up, or some other mutually agreed upon *punishment* Could be a coke, or something....
I know jinx but not the Mum part...I am so giving the "new rules" I just discovered to my guys. We shall see if they will abide by them. My oldest and I are always calling Jinx. So are my gf's and I...hmmm could be fun with the Mum rule!
Thanks Valerie for adding a twist to my silly little fun. lol

YES! And dh only knows the coke part "poke poke you owe me a coke". He'd never heard that part about not talking til someone said your name.
I'm one of four, so we were always *jinxin* and calling *dibs* And come to think of it, Trudee jinxed me not so long ago when we both responded at the same time with the same answer to a forum post! LOL
We colored coded our boyz too.
It started because we have identical twins and it helps everyone tell them apart.
So, Davey gets navy and then it became all blue. The other "boy" color for clothes seemed to be red and so that became Peter's color.
Luke, my oldest picked green.
I love it when I can find something that comes in red, blue, and green!
