OK - I don't know that this is the right forum for this, but I just made a discovery that I find so newsworthy - LOL. I learned tonight that blogging offers many wonders to the world of internet users Tonight I downloaded this widget that allows me to listen to my favorite music artists as I sit and do my work. Am I the only nerd who thinks that this is cool? So if you like bloggin' head over to my site and give it a try - just make certain to turn down the volume on your speakers because the sound really comes out loud and clear if you don't.
OK - perhaps I am living in the dark ages - LOL! Seriously I don't have a clue what my computer can offer me. I was rollin' on the floor yesterday reading Asela's blog where she was talking about computers and I do believe I was born in the same "era" as she was. I do get a good laugh at myself on many occasions and obviously this latest news of mine is probably WAY behind the reality of what is out there. It just cracks me up though that these things are available and I have no clue
Perhaps I need to look into other means that will allow me to listen to my favorite songs without actually leaving my chair
Believe me I have thought about that, but my stamping area is soooo jam-packed that I don't have an extra ounce of space for another gadget. So I have been popping CD's into my hard drive, but that means I have to get up and go find them - bwaahaahaa
oh, ELLEN! Hi!!!
You must check out http://www.pandora.com/ . . . .you can type in the artist's name, and then you'll get all kinds of music in the same style/genre.. . and it's free!
WOOHOO Jenn - that sounds way cool and it was another of the bloggin' options - I may have to explore some more!!! The one I installed sounds similar I think, but I am soooo up for exploring all the options for sittin' in your chair and not moving to find what you want music options
Thank you girlfriend!!! I knew that if I posted here I would get some good ideas!!! I'm such a lammo brain when it comes to this stuff, but I am thoroughly enjoying the results of doing a little research!!!
I use Winamp to listen to my mp3's on the computer. It's a free download and I've used it for years (no spyware included that I've noticed). I also found a free CD Ripper that you can download (just google free CD ripper) that will get the music off your CD's. It takes a little while, but you can get all your CD's on you computer and then put together playlists if you want. HTH!
