Default blending ink for a backgroun

I've been searching for days for a post from someone who used stamp pad ink to blend to make a background. (sunset) and then stamped on top of it. It was beautiful and I can't find it. I beleive it was sometime earlier this month. This talented person took several colors and blended them by using the edge of the stamp pads. Does any one know what I'm talking about?

This sounds like Michelle Zindorf's work. She mostly uses a brayer but recently did a card using pinks and yellows for the sky and it looked like a sunset.

Here is the link to her blog. Blogs at Splitcoaststampers. Scroll down to the Razzleberry Trees tutorial. She is a member here and may have posted it in her gallery; but I check her blog everyday and that is where I saw this one. Hope this helps!

wow her work is awesome. This wasn't the talent lady I was talking about. This person used the edge of the ink pad. I appreciate the info, Cobby. Love her stuff. Still looking for the other person....

glad you liked her stuff! But since that's not who you were looking for....my only other suggestion is to click on the "gallery" link at the top of the page, then click on the Search feature on the left side of the page. This will open a line that says "search gallery" and type in "direct to paper" as that is what the technique of rubbing your ink pads straight onto the paper is called.

There are quite a few items that come up. Some don't look at all like that technique but maybe you will see the card there! Good luck!

I can't help with what you're looking for, but just in case you didn't know, you can click on the empty heart logo under card pictures in the gallery, and then it is added to your personal Favourites for easy reference next time you want to find it .

Default Can't find it either.

I believe I know the exact card to which you are referring. I remember thinking it was pretty cool! I can't find it, but if I do, I'll bump it to the top for you.

Could it be this card?

This is one of Theresa Momber's creations! The girl just oozes talent! Love her work (and Michelle Z's too!)

Oh my word! Theresa's work is beautiful, but it wasn't the one I was thinking of.
Wow, it is gorgeous!

Can you remember what the stamped image was? Flowers, trees, a pond, a lake, etc...that may help as there are lots of well blended backgrounds. Just an idea

Here is an older card by Michelle that does use the ink pad directly on the paper.

Also, when you say "post" do you mean in the Splitcoast gallery or a blog post?

Here's another one I found in the gallery (and I think I'll be inking up my brayer tomorrow with all this inspiration!)

I don't think it's my card that you are looking for, but I thought I would post it here for you because I did use the edge of my ink pad to stamp on the trees.

I just made this card again the other day (I'm trying to stock up on some Christmas cards this year) and if I have time later I'll try to upload a better picture, but for now I'll post the link from my gallery:
