Just read on a couple of blogs that due to quality issues, SU is discontinuing all Blendabilities until the issue can be fixed. Apparently there are pinprick holes in the barrels and/or caps that is causing 40% of the markers dry out before they even arrive to customers.
Are they made overseas? I don't have any, but I'm glad that SU a is seriously addressing the problem! I tried them for the first time last week at my demo's workshop and they do blend beautifully.
Just added a thought-the caps are really hard to snap on and off, wonder if that is part of the problem.

Does anyone know how this will affect sets ordered as a SAB reward? I got the stamps and other items I'd ordered, but the blendabilities I'd selected as SAB items were listed on the invoice as out of stock.
I was a demo when these first came out and read pages and pages of complaints on their forum. I only had a few problems which they fixed as soon as I called and reported them. It was easy to tell though that the fix was costly. If one was dry, they would send you a whole set. And one ran out of ink pretty quickly, which I never replaced as I would have had to purchase a whole set of 3 just to replace the one. Making a refillable marker is the solution,in my opinion, so maybe they also came to that conclusion. I don't know.
I wonder what they will do for those of us who bought them all already? I'm not having issues yet, and maybe I won't but I hope if I do I get replacement's

I think more guidance will be forthcoming in the next few days. Giving the marketing that has been happening to demos, this announcement seems to have been made after a quick decision based on something we don't really have knowledge of yet.
There has been discussion of a refill option coming soon but not sure how that factors in here. Like many, I hope that the next few days provide more clarification. For SU to have moved this quickly, I feel confident the reason is sound and they are protecting customers and demos from substandard product.
Jasimons, keep in touch with your demo this week, I'm sure she will have more info soon.

Here is updated information:
SU! announced last week, all of the Blendabilities item numbers have been shut off due to product quality issues (not lack of availability). Because they don't anticipate a quick solution for this situation; if your demonstrator has not updated you on the situation and you have the following:
1) Blendabilities items on backorder or
2) Sale-A-Bration Blendabilities redemptions on backorder
You should contact your Demonstrator to exchange them for another item.
As a demo we have been told we should have more information next week

Yes, I have the Old Olive on redemption backorder and my demo advised me yesterday of the issue and requested I pick an alternate item.
When they do sort it out I really hope the Blendabilities (and the regular markers for that matter) can be still be purchased in sets but also INDIVIDUALLY. Sure, Blendy refills would be nice, but wouldn't changing how they're sold be less costly for them? One dried out -with normal use-and we were stuck buying all 3 again. So we were spending extra money for extras we didn't need and depleting their warehouse stock. I don't see the wisdom there!

I just found out today about the Blendabilities from my demo. My friend has 3 sets on back order. I was lucky to get my free set with this order. I was looking forward to picking up another set or two for free with the Sale-a-bration going on. I do like a couple of the 'new' items they just added though.

I only have one set..... Calypso coral and love them. I think I can control my coloring a bit better than copics because the tip is a tinier bit more flexible. I won't buy any more till they are refillable.
