Best in San Antonio

Hi Ladies,

I will be traveling to San Antonio on Wednesday and I'll have about 6 hours to kill before my meeting. What are the best scrapping and stamping stores in San Antonio? I read some previous threads on this subject and it looks like Stamp Antonio is worth a visit. It appears several stores have closed. What are your favorites?

Stamp Antonio is an awesome stamp store. There's a nice Chinese Restaurant, Tai Pei, in the same shopping strip on NW Military Highway. Stamp Antonio is hidden behind a big Sonic. There is so much stuff to look at. They carry amuse, hero arts. Also red rubber and acrylic. Lots of twinkling H2Os, Lumiere, Stickles, Pearlex, inks, embossing powders, Niji paint brushes. (these are things I bought last time I was there).

I can't wait to go at Thanksgiving :-)

It's not too far from North Star Mall.

Scrapbook Heaven is another favorite stop on Bandea Rd., close to 1604. Memroy Bucket on 1604 is nice as well, but I heard they had a fire next door, so not sure if they have reopened. I haven't tried Scrapbook 911 yet.

La Cantera Mall off 1604 is really nice as well. Upscale stores and lots of outdoor walking.

I'm heading out to Austin next week. We'll be visiting San Antonio also. Is there a STARBUCKS or other coffee hangout near Stamp Antonio? THat is my best bet for distracting DH while I SHOP!!!

Scrapbook Heaven is awesome!! And Memory bucket has NOT opened up again! :( They were great fro SB papers!! Have fun while your here!!

I just rec'd an email newsletter from Stamp Antonio that they are having an inventory reduction sale. Starting today April 2, everything in the store is 20% off the original price.

I just returned from Scrapbook Heaven & I agree it is a really nice store. I have about $55 in paper to hide in my suitcase on the way home. ;)

I tried to find scrapbook 911 since I lived the pictures on their website blog, but after driving up & down the street a little while I had to go pick up my husband. :(

Tuscan Rose (http://www.tuscanrose.com/index.htm) is based in San Antonio, but it looks like they don't have a store front. They've got some gorgeous stamps!!!!!!
