Default Best Inks?

Hello All

I was wondering what were the best inks for stamping and distressing?

Thanks

Michelle

For distressing I use alot of Tim Holtz ink pads in colors like Walnut Strain, Vintage Photo (a favorite), Antique Linen, Black Soot, Old Paper and Tea Dye (a favorite). I also stamp in alot of his colors too. For Clear Stamps I use alot of ColorBox chalk and VersaMagic chalk inks. For regular red rubber stamps I use Tim Holtz distress, Vivid, ColorBox Pigment & chalk inks. I use so many brands of ink at this time, but everyone swears by different brands of ink- I only listed some of my favorites.

I have heard of ColorBox but never used them. What are they like?

Here is a link to the ColorBox Petal Point ink pads. I have several of these in different color combinations and love them. You can find them at Michaels and Hobby Lobby and use a coupon which makes them pretty reasonable.

I don't use colored inks for the majority of my stamping, but use Versafine Onyx for stamping all my images, clear stamps and rubber alike. I like stamping in black ink, and then coloring my images with markers or pencils, rather than stamping in color.

When I do need color, the ColorBox sets give me the option of having many colors to choose from. They are a pigment ink which works especially well with clear stamps and I have lots of those.

I was a Papertrey Ink ink user until their light color inks didn't show and their new pigment inks weren't the correct color or consistency so I switched to Colorbox Fluid Chalk Inks and I love them. So easy to use, great colors...chalk/pigment but not too dry and not too went. They WILL however stain your stamps, but that doesn't matter to me - - just shows how loved they were
