Wink Bella's - How to Mount the Stamps

I have a bunch of Bella's. How do I use these without mounting to a wood block? I only use wood stamps, period. So I have no idea where to get the blocks/tacky stuff for the Bella's. And I don't quite understand what the EZ Mount is or does.

Y'all PM me or post, please!

Hugs,

Thanks. Now how do you get the double sided sticky off the block once it's no longer sticky?

I mount my Bella's as well as all my bare rubber onto EZ mount, it can be a pain to cut but I like the cushining that it give my stamps. Stamping Bella sells EZ mount and they have a demo on how to mount your stamps with it.

Hi Tina,
Working with your first unmounted stamps can be kind of scary or intimidating when you're only used to wood mounted, but once you get used to them you'll love them! There are a few different ways to use your Bella stamps, depending on how you want to store them. Knowing that you're used to wood mounted stamps that have a cushion, I'd probably recommend that you try EZ mount on one of your stamps and see how you like it.

EZ mount is just like the gray foam that is in between your rubber stamps and the block on your wood mounts, except it is sticky on one side and has a cling surface on the other side. Here is a step by step guide from the people who make EZ Mount: Instructions.

After I got used to unmounted stamps, I use most of them without cushion with either Tack N Peel (makes your acrylic block sticky so the stamp sticks to it) or double sided tape. But since I was used to wood mounts, it took a bit of getting used to. I was happier with the results from mounting with EZ Mount as a transition from wood to unmounted rubber.

Hope this helps!

Default Midlothian

My parents moved from Midlothian to Frisco last year! I loved the Midlothian area! Thanks for the great info too.

Here's a post I did a long time ago showing how I put unmounted rubber stamps onto EZmount and all that - I also show at the end of the post how I was using my bellas at the time (just tape and acrylic blocks - tho now I mount all my bellas onto thin black EZmount): http://prairiepaperandink.typepad.co...unmounted.html

I HTH!!

I get all my EZmount and Acrylic blocks from All That Scraps - tho they're really easy to find. Most online stores carry both products.

I use a glue stick on mine. Put glue on the rubber and then attach it to acrylic block. When you are done just wash and dry it off. It comes off with no problem!

I like to use the double stick tape, but I use a soft, cushy mousepad to stamp on. I find I get better results and it has a much more comfortable "feel" when stamping.
