I thought this post should go in the BRAK but after reading the rules about posting threads of various kinds, I’m thinking I’m thoroughly confused!😄
Anyway...I make cards for the BRAK and for the past year and a half I’ve been taking care of my mom in Arizona. Not full-time, but I’ve had to make several trips out there to stay with her ( I live in Houston) First she fainted and fell several times ( throwing her back out) and it was discovered that she needed blood pressure meds.
The she fainted and fell again and that time they put a pacemaker in.
My last trip out was when she fell and fractured her pelvis 5 days before Christmas ...she’s 87 so I guess this comes with age. I stayed with her for 5 weeks. Before all this, she has been completely healthy and apart from these incidents she is very healthy.
So my entire reason for posting is to apologize for sending out cards late a few times and for not responding to all the people who sent me cards on my birthday last year!
So sorry to make this so long!
Thank you if you read the whole post😊
I'm not a member of BRAK but just wanted to wish you and your Mom well. My Mom used to live in California and I live in Wisconsin so when she needed help I'd fly out there. It was hard but we managed. If you'd like you can PM me with her address, maybe she'd like a card from me?
Not a BRAK member either but having taken care of my mom for many years before her passing, I know what a challenge it can be. Sadly there are only so many hours in a day. I think it is very nice of you to post and let people know.
Wishing you both well!

Oh you’re a dear! She is getting along well now. I’m sure it was a struggle to go back n forth with your mom, but it’s the least we can do for all they did for us right?’
