Default beaded pens

This may be a dumb question....Where do you place the stamped paper for a beaded pen? Do you roll it and place it inside the pen? Or...Do you stamp the paper and wrap it around the outside of the pen then bead it? I tried placing the paper inside the barrel of the pen and the image doesn't show nicely like how I see it in the gallery. Appreciate the advice.

It is easier to stamp a label and then adhere it to the outside of the pen. Then you add the sticky strip, heat with your heat gun and roll it in the beads. If you do a search there are several threads with instructions.

I hope this helps--good luck with your pens. I think they are so neat.

I use avery address labels. The label needs to be cut 3 1/4 by 1 1/4 to cover the barrel.

Kristy, why do you need to heat it?

The sticky strip will become more tacky and the beads will stick better. I have done it both ways and heating works better. I think it is like running your finger over the paper after you use adhesive. It sets the tape.
