Default Bake Sale packaging

I need help! My church is having a bake sale the 1st. weekend in November and they have asked me to "package" the cookies, fudge, etc. I would greatly appreciate all suggestions for cute and inexpensive ways to do this. Thanks a bunch!!

I just bought a bunch of the windowed coffee bags (http://www.papertreyink.com/pack_bags.html) from Papertrey... love what they've shown in their gallery with them!

If you are packing a lot of items for the bake sale, consider just using old fashioned sandwich baggies. They are very inexpensive and you can use extra curling ribbon or other crafting ribbon to tie them off and make them look great! If there is a fall theme or other theme for the bake sale, you can add a cute little sticker or something to the corner of the bag but I've never found that necessary.

Clear cellophane or plastic bags look great when embellished with a little ribbon and a tag or an ornament! A neat thing my sister taught me to make is an individual serving of "Spoon Fudge". To make these, pour your favorite fudge recipe into individual foil cupcake cups which can be found with the disposable foil pans in the baking departments of many stores. One batch of fudge will make several of these. Then, put the foil fudge cup into a clear bag of some sort, tie the top with ribbon and a tag and add an appropriately colored plastic spoon for eating the fudge.

Could you use sandwich bags and just make cute tags? You could probably get away with using scraps or getting some fall themed paper.

Those window coffee bags are extremely cute, but for goodness sake, get them from a big supplier, like www.papermart.com. You can get 5 "small kraft window coffee bags" for $3 from Papertrey, or 100 of the same for $17.60 from uline. If you wanted 100 bags from papertrey, it'd cost you $60!

I think the cheapest way is to use small paper plates inside a sandwich or ziploc baggie, add a beautiful stamped tag made from scraps and you are finished for a good price! For larger items (like cupcakes), I've used a small bowl that fits about three and I cover it with saran wrap and ribbon. You could easily add a tag, if you wish. (Although, I really don't think it is necessary to add pretty tags for bake sales, especially if kids are going to be buying the treats!)

The other places mentioned here are great for gift giving treats, though!

I've bought the mini ziploc craft bags (the ones you use for the gel card) from Walmart and stamped images with Stazon. The bags are cheap and are the right size for bake sale items such as brownies and a few cookies.

I've also used cello bags in the candy aisle from Michaels and tied them up with ribbons and a tag. These are great for candy, popcorn, etc.

Honestly, SU's cellophane baggies are just amazing! They make ANYTHING look good. I've tried to get away with using some from AC Moore or Michael's but they just don't have the weight and look when they are filled. The also are a great value.

You can put a topper or tag on, too. Here's a cutie by kathyj30:

There are tons of ideas in the "Anything But a Card" gallery. From Paint cans to paper bags, there's so many ideas!
